im playing a lot with the breda and i feel that its position in the lmg is “wrong”.
it’s a 20 round gun without the possibilty of smitch to semi auto and the accuracy of a lmg, even when you stop crouch and aim the bullet flyes everywhere…
my suggestion is, reduce the spread of 30% dont make the breda to good but actually viable.
Hold on. Late campaign German weapons are a blast.
Also, once you unlock MG34, you’re basically at top lethality for gunners already. Most players agree it’s just as good or arguably even better than the later MG42, which is kind of a sidegrade (faster ROF, but slower reload).
Imo there is almost no reason to use MG42 over MG34, but I haven’t unlocked it yet so I might miss something.
It’s rof is just a waste of bullets, you won’t kill faster than MG34 as you have to land one, max 2 shots.
It’s model is poor so no “aestetics” reason.
It’s rof is a downisde and it isn’t even historical. So no “brrt” reason as it isn’t disrinct enough.
The only way to make it objectivelly better would be to make it great at suppressing. But there was a post about suppression and judging by comments, it seems that it won’t be implemented so MG42 will remain a gimmick.
It’s not really a problem of skill but more a, im gonna hit the enemy at my 3th shoot or the bullets are gonna fly everywhere?
That’s the only real problem I’ve encounterded, the Stas and all the other things are good but that damn lmg dispersion is incredibly hard to play with.
Yea the dispersion thing is weird like as soon as you move slightly while firing the bullets rear off at angles also sometimes it seems to happened without you even moving.
LMG’s were incredibly accurate i have no idea why they thought the dispersion thing was a good idea but meh i suppose it stops people from running and gunning personally i never had an issue with it but everyone seemed too.
dude don’t worry i feel your pain honestly i would of much preferred something like a variation of the browning automatic rifle as an early unlockable lmg. Also comparing it to the bren sights as they aren’t that bad its just the Vickers back sight that gets in the way.
A Lewis gun would have been a better starting weapon - almost 60,000 in .303 and .30-06 were brought out of reserve after Dunkirk - the Home Guard got the .30-06, the regular army most of hte .303’s.
aaah yea the lewis would of been nice to have in the Tunisian campaign bit annoying how there are effectively two bren guns. Sure they both aren’t actual bren guns but still similar things based off the ZB-26.
Also was the Vickers berthier actually used by the British much what i did a quick scan and it says it was used by the Indian army mainly. Was it even used by the British much ? i mean they did have the bren ^.^
