Buff the Schmeisser MK 36/III

Schmeisser MK 36/III is an old BP weapon that’s forgotten and couldn’t receive a proper buff meanwhile all kind of SMG being added/gotten a buff.

The stats, as you can see isn’t really good at all. Damage and dispersion value is subpar despite having an exceptionally long barrel for 9mm SMG(19.7 inches(50 cm) long, which is a very very long barrel for being 9mm SMG), having a lengthy reload speed of 3.0 secs with only 20 rounds magazine. Rate of fire is only 480 which is very low even for the BR 1 SMG standard.

So i suggest a buff for Schmeisser MK 36/III, preferably something close to this gun as both gun laid in a rifle stock -

Beretta 1918/30 is literally a better gun in every possible way except the recoil and lacking the full-auto feature despite being an universal weapon for most of classes in BR 1.

So i suggest following buff for Schmeisser MK 36/III :

Damage increased from 6.8 → 7.2
Dispersion value decreased from 60 → 30
Reload speed increased from 3.0 → 2.3 secs

That’s about it i think. I think those buff would make this gun a good choice along with Beretta 38A on BR 1 while also makes sense for having such long barrel for 9mm SMG at least.

Maybe it should hit even harder since it has a long barrel and its a carbine

I think it should hits even harder as well given it’s exceptionally long barrel, but for 9mm SMG, 7.2 is the max damage on guns possible so far, so i wouldn’t risk it. Perhaps even tighter dispersion than 30 will do instead.

Certainly, even more to maintain it in BR1, the Kilary 39M for example have 7.5 as basic and 7.9 damage at full upgrade, but is a 9x25mm gun

i think that all the 9mm gun should have at least 6.9 to 7.2 of damage, just look at the .45 acp with it’s 8.2 points of damage an at least 750 to 1000 ROF, most of 9mm guns hits 6.8 and the common ROF is 500 to 600 ROF

Of the .45 acp SMG’s, some of the Thompson’s shoot 750 and higher, however the Grease guns, M50 and M55 don’t, but still have the same damage. I would agree that the damage of German SMG’s should be increased.

It would be good if it were based on bullet diameter meaning just the damage value, not the bullet velocity itself. Currently, for instance, the 8mm Nambu weapons are the weakest; based on diameter, they could have a damage of 6.9, while 9mm weapons could have 7 (like the Berettas) or 7.2 (for the German guns). And yes, early US SMGs are certainly a bit sluggish, but there’s a huge jump once you get to the first Thompsons. For example, the Suomi SJR is BR5, yet its rate of fire doesn’t even reach 1000 RPM and the damage isn’t reasonable either; the Suomi is basically like the 71-round PPD-34 (which is BR4). Then there’s the Thompson 1928 (50)… that weapon stands on its own it’s really good. It’s no surprise that you see it more often than the Hyde 1944; with that damage and rate of fire, it practically outperforms the STG by a wide margin except in range, I suppose.
