I mean, let’s be honest. This is some of the worst LMG in the game and it would have zero issues whatsoever even when this thing moves down to BR 1. But people seem to dislike the idea that no matter how bad the LMG is, that LMG being on BR 1 is a huge nope. 300 RoF is actually the slowest RoF out of all LMG in the game. In fact, it is so slow that every semi-auto rifles(Except guns like Kretz, Hino rifle and Type Hei rifle)in the game has a faster RoF than this gun. So i came up with some ideas to make it better on BR 2 at least.
The gun is already quite accurate for being an LMG, having 21 dispersion value but there are some short-comings that makes this LMG very unappealing to use.
First of all, the recoil. For being the LMG with 300 RoF, this gun has an excessive amount of recoil. 41 verical recoil with 23 horizontal recoil plus 10% recoil control modifier. Especially the horizontal recoil, Chauchat has 21 effective horizontal recoil, this is actually the highest horizontal recoil out of all Soviet LMG in the game, it’s that high.
Second, despite all those downsides, Chauchat still has the usual heavy LMG penalty, 50% sprint speed and only 0.3 ADS speed.
And finally, the reload speed. It takes 3.0 seconds to reload a mag despite it’s a 20 rounds magazine. That’s very lengthy reload speed for 20 rounds mag.
So i suggest following buff for Chauchat :
Sprint speed increased from 50% → 65%
ADS speed increased from 0.3 → 0.5
Recoil control modifer increased from 10% → 50%
Reload speed increased from 3.0 seconds → 2.5 seconds
These buff wouldn’t make Chauchat the best LMG on BR 2 obviously but at least it should make it usable on BR 2, acting as LMG with very slow rate of firing yet accurate and stable in recoil control.
