Chatellerault M24/29

So the recent ‘Making Enlisted a Better Place №75’ update made some changes on USA BR 2 LMG. Mainly, the bren gun and it’s variants.

Which is a nice change, these guns were not really a popular choices before. However, i feel like that some guns are left out and Chatellerault M24/29 is one of them.

So in comparison between Bren Mk II and Chatellerault M24/29, Chatellerault M24/29 has :
5 less rounds per magazine
Identical recoil to Bren Mk II
60 higher rate of fire
Less accurate(Higher dispersion value, 37 vs 31)
Less damage(12.9)
Lengthier reload speed(2.7 secs vs 2.1 secs)
Lighter weight(9.4 kg vs 10 kg)

With all things considered, i think Chatellerault M24/29 should also get the similar buff as the bren gun variants at least.

I suggest following buff for Chatellerault M24/29 :
Sprint speed increased from 50% → 65%
ADS speed increased from 0.3 → 0.5
Recoil control modifier increased from 10% → 20%(To compensate the relatively low damage)

I think these would be a fair changes for Chatellerault M24/29, as Chatellerault M24/29 has a much lengthier reload speed with being lighter than the bren gun with 5 less bullets in the magazine.

I think the Bren Mk.II shouldn’t have gotten the sprint buff because it’s even heavier than the BAR (which has 75% sprint factor), it sould’ve gotten a recoil control and disperssion pattern buff instead.

Returning to the topic, yeah the FM 24/29 should get a 65% sprint factor buff similarly to the Madsen, and also to recoil control I agree on that.

Well, it is still slower than BAR so i think it should be fine. But i quite like the changes on Bren gun as this could be a starter for buff other 20-30 rnds LMGs on BR 2 as well that are not that good, such as ZB-26 and Breda 30, Type 11.

You would still have a faster Bren (the Mk.I weights 8,1kg) and a Bren with slightly more smoother recoil, rn it feels like the Mk.II is Daniel and the Mk.I the cooler Daniel, the same weapon but one has better sights and recoil.

Yes Bren Mk I is much lighter but i think Bren Mk I also has an identical recoil to Bren Mk II IIRC.

Is has slightly smoother vertical recoil and has slightly better accuracy, but you gotta admit the Mk.II sights are more restrictive than the Mk.I’s

You are correct about the other things but the recoil stats are identical. You sure Bren Mk I has a less recoil?

Oh wait, it was just the disperssion pattern, still feels better than the Mk.II tho
