Buff the Browning M1919A6

The M1919A6 is easily the worst BR 5 mg in the game, to make it somewhat fun and more competetive i propose to buff the following stats:

  • Sprint factor from 45% to 70%
  • Removing the moving spread increase
  • Reducing the reload from 5.5 to 4 seconds
  • ADS speed from 0.24 to 0.45
Should the M1919A6 get these buffs?
  • Yes
  • No

no to spread and sprint factor

I dont see why it would be a bad thing it would still be far from strong just more fun and similar to the rd ofc with the lacking rof

You may have heard that during exercises, the Americans used a 50-round belt for the Browning M1919A6 machine gun.
Looks like this machine gun needs to be added to the research for the sake of balance 3-4BR.

Field modification: At the front, soldiers often cut standard 250-round canvas belts into shorter segments (50–100 rounds) themselves. This allowed the machine gunner to fire offhand or from a bipod while on the move, preventing the long, trailing belt from snagging on brush or getting caught in the mud.

Have you looked at the weight of the M1919A6?
It was HEAVY like 15 kg so why the hell are you trying to make it into a light machinegun?
The Mg 42 did weight a third less so why dont we apply those buffs to that one instead?

I could see the sprint factor go to 50-55%, maybe 60% but not 70%. Significantly lighter MGs, like the Charlton with 7.5 compared to 14 kilos, get that but this isn’t one of those.

Also a flat no for removing moving spread increase. It’s not something that MGs should have, the RD-44 being a big offender. The 1919A6 already has less than all TT MGs of the nations it faces.

A4 has 65% so the A6 being br 5 can get some more

Because the MG42 is already a good gun unlike the A6 which is dogshit

It’s also entirely useless when not braced. A compromise that doesn’t need to be made for a gun that can fire on the move.

So you want entirely fictitious guns instead of faithfull recreations?

I agree that the 1919A6 could really do with some buffs but turning it into a fast mobile assault weapon feels kind of strange thematically.

idk why you want to buff A6 when it is already rather good MG. higher ROF MG are better at close range, while A6 is better at mid/long range.

This might be the worst take ive ever heard

idk what is worst take when i rather love m1919a6. if stinger wasnt so broken with 200 rounds, i would probably have m1919a6 in my lineup all the time. it is excellent gun, you just need to know how to play it.

yea sit back and camp the gun sucks compared to its counters simple as it is

The weapon is fine how It is because youre not supposed to run and gun it. It’s more useful in defending since the enemies are coming towards you so you can set up on a window, on a sandbag, or down a street and spray down a whole squad. you will always be outgunned vs any German LMG because they fire twice as fast.

Yup thats why it sucks you need to camp and no the gun is not ok lol

I like this idea but also reduce the movement dispersion and dispersion too from .34 to .27 and also reduce the movements dispersion while aiming from 13.0 to 11.0 which isn’t alot but it’s a noticeable difference for a gun with a very low rage of fire

If you want a gun to stay in the back and fire upon people that’s also an MG, build a MG nest with your engineers if your gun is basically just a portable buildable MG, it’s god awful
