Buff FN Model 1930

I wonder how long it’ll actually take them to change it, or if they’ll just ignore it

I’m talking about in the game. It’s was part of the allies identity in game. Now i can literally imitate exact loadouts from one faction to another

Referring to the game…

And I gave you a reason why I don’t think that should be the case. The guns exist and should be represented as accurately as possible. The BAR was invented by an American but the US just abandoned it until WW2 started and that is something that reflects in the BARs it fielded.

You can’t just make all other SMGs worse just because Germany thought it up first in the MP18 or the Italians were the first to use fully automatic pistol calibre weapons on a large scale in the Villar Perosa.

What does “better” even mean. A ww2 1911 is just as good as a modern 1911. Why don’t you elaborate on that. How is it not being portrayed accurately as it is? Sometimes designs are so good they don’t need to be worked on to continue improvement. Take the m16/ar15 platform. It’s pretty much stayed the same for over half a century.

Also, it’s dumb when you try to use this argument when it suits you but then forget about it when it doesn’t. Me262 should have a way slower turn time, amongst many many other things in game.

You’re suggesting to make guns worse than the BAR when they’re not. The FN Model 1930, or as it’s actual name was the FN Model D, is an improvement on the BAR in a lot of ways. It’s got a pistol grip, which even the BAR A2 doesn’t, it’s got a removable barrel, which isn’t represented in game but is an improvement, a carry handle and has a better bipod location. And as the US Army noticed, as can be seen by the A1 and A2 models, the BAR is not suited to a LMG role, especially not in the standard 1918 configuration. Your sole reason why all other BAR style guns should be worse is that the original design is American.

When have I argued against that? Go ahead. Point out where I said that. I’ll wait, and might as well dig my own grave with the amount of luck you’ll have finding something.

So pretty much all insignificant “improvements” for game logic. The only one that could be argued is pistol grip. Game also doesn’t portray/reflect that BAR was used in greater numbers in allies forces. What i mean by “worse” is things like recoil/spread/reload so nations don’t feel like carbon copies and because allied forces used them more in battle which can be represented with better handling for allies faction. Makes perfect sense, its not just because “america”

It is just because America. The fact that they used them more doesn’t make them any better. Should all other SMGs be worse because the MP18 is the first proper SMG? Should the Lanchester at BR2 be worse than the MP18 at BR1 because it’s just a copy of the MP28? Should the Bren, Type 96, Type 97 and Type 99 be worse than the ZB-26 because they’re copies of it? Does any of that make sense to you?

What happened to this? Any luck?

What kind of logic is this even? If we follow this logic then the soviet body armor and overpowered SMG for their BR like PPS-43 can be justified just because that’s what makes Soviet special? What? We will have sooooo many balancing problems if we actually follow this dumb logic.

Hello. We’re talking about game logic here, and it has nothing to do with it being made first. There were over 350,000 BARs made. Only several thousand fn model 30s. The BAR was a major part of allies forces. More people used them, had more training with them, and had more battle experience with them. You can’t argue for historical accuracy then not want it in all aspects.

Does any of that make the FN model D worse? No. So why should it be in game? The BAR is TT. The FN Model D is not. There are significantly less FN Model Ds around than BARs. That is represented.

Yes, i have no problem with them having body armor. They used it. It’s reflected in game. I don’t cry like a baby because my germans don’t get body armor. I have no problems playing against russia. Germany has their own things that make them “special”. Clearly you’re biased to germany yourself. Stop coping.

Not to the extent it should of been. If it was left as just 1 premmy squad, sure, no issues. Now it’s a premmy squad, gold order, and the ke7 in tech tree. Every player on a team can have a full rotation of the same type of gun. And yes, the ke7 fills the same roll so it gets counted.

Then why are you crying like a baby for “uSa BaR sHoUlD bE bEtTeR111!!!11”? Be silent would you?

Such as?

How am i biased to germany? Could you at least point out what exactly i said was biased even? You really loves accusing others without any basis don’t you? also it’s extremely hypocritical that a guy saying “USA BAR should be the best all other BAR clone should be inferior because USA BAR special wahhhhh” calling someone biased.

Then remove all SMGs from the TT. It’s a German invention so other factions shouldn’t have them in the TT.

Why are we bringing up the KE7? It has nothing to do with the BAR. It’s just a light machine gun that uses box magazines

Because it’s apparently just another BAR clone despite the only similarity between them being the fact that they’re automatic rifles. I guess we gotta remove the Charlton and Chauchat as well.

Again, because history. Which is your whole argument, yes? This type of gun was a staple in U.S.'s armory. This type of gun was NOT a staple in germany’s army. Not sure why i have to spell it out for you.

Type of gun? What other Automatic Rifle did the US use? None. The BAR is an American weapon, that they didn’t use properly, none other. The KE7 certainly isn’t a BAR. They’re entirely different guns that were developed by entirely different people with no connection to each other. Should the Chauchat and Charlton be removed as well because they’re not BARs? Or can they stay because they’re used by the Allies? So why should the KE7 be counted but entirely different SMGs not when comparing them to the MP18?

You want actually similar guns to be exclusive? Remove the Lanchester, all Stens and the Austen as copies of the MP28. Remove the Type 96, Type 97, Type 99 and both Brens as copies of the ZB-26. Does that sound acceptable? Is it in any way reasonable?

Seeing as we’re never gonna find a point we can agree on I say we should stop this now and make room for other people to discuss the post instead of arguing further.
