The BSA thompson smg is currently way weaker compared to the other 20-round event thompson.
Important stats: Thompson BSA / Thompson 20 (event)
Fire rate: 750 / 1040 rpm
Reload time: 2.3 / 1.8 sec
Recoil control: 60 / 70 %
The thompson 20 shoots massively faster with the same damage, so the TTK is shorter, making it the better gun. The free Thompson got 30 rounds, which is a big difference too.
To make the BSA Thompson a bit more competitve to the free event thompson 20, i suggest decreasing the reload time to maybe 1,8 or 2 seconds. The BSA thompsons reload animations includes an additional “magazine slap” in the end, which costs valuable time for no reason.
Therefore my suggestion is:
Should the reload time of the 20 round BSA thompson be decreased ?
As far as I know, the 2.3-second reload time applies to the late simplified Thompson variants with the smaller magazine well, which are not incompatible with drum magazines. That design made inserting the magazine more difficult, but that doesn’t apply here, since this model is based on the early Thompson variants.
