The Allies have few options when it comes to potential BR 5 AR weapons that aren’t chambered in the anemic .30 Carbine cartridge. In 1932, an M1918 BAR modified to a 15 inch barrel, in addition to a few other changes was tested for jungle warfare (colloquially known as the Jungle BAR). There were also some BARs supposedly field modified to 16-18" barrels during WW2 in both the Pacific and European theaters, but I couldn’t find any photo evidence from a brief search.
Here are some potential preliminary stats, using the Browning M1918 as a baseline:

I’d like to see this gun in the game, but not as an assault rifle. It uses full-size rifle cartridges—and not even a weaker round compared to other rifles, like the Fedorov Assault Rifle, which uses 6.5 Arisaka. But as a machine gun—I’d love to see it in Enlisted.
I would typically agree, but the barrel is much shorter, and was being compared against the Thompson SMG in trials. If we want a competitive damage AR for the Allies, the only other option I can think of is the Burton LMR, but it has obscure top-mags that block a lot of vision when aiming down sights, and is more anachronistic from a TT addition perspective.
For what you are asking for, I think a chopped M1918A2 from WW2 would make more sense.
There were Colt R80 BAR versions made in 6.5x55mm (swedish), commercially available I believe.
I’d like to see the Jungle BAR in the game, but certainly not as BR5. If it were introduced as an Assault rifle, then yes, BR 5. I would add the Jungle BAR as an MG to BR3 and add a 40 round magazine to a BAR and place it at BR4. If the Japanese can have a 50 round KE7 at BR4 then the US should be able to have a 40 round BAR at BR4.
I can’t see the Dev’s giving us a Jungle BAR for free, so IMOP if they would offer one it would be most likely a Premium squad, although I would love to see it and a 40 round BAR in the TT. I’d probably keep them in the MG field for the game. Although since I love the BAR 1918A2, arming a nine man rifle squad with BAR’s would be somewhat appealing. 
The current differency with stg / hyde is 0.2 ? Ami rite ?
And against the what ever joke of the gun JP has as AR does less than hyde dmg.
Like sure, you would have a “competive” point if the murricans actually did fight against the fedorovs but far as I know they dont.
None of those ARs are competitive, only the Fedorov Avtomat can deal more damage than vitality hitpoints at close range.
I have advocated for increasing the damage of all ARs at BR 5, but some people complain about the idea of .30 Carbine dealing over 13.5 damage, hence this suggestion. It’s also just a neat gun that would work well for BR 5 Assaulters.
