I have well over 100 and now I don’t have the silver tickets. I still have several campaigns where I need far more troops.
And now whats the point of the massive troop inventory storage we PAID FOR.

They really need to introduce an option to swap a certain amount of bronze orders for silver orders or just bring back random bronze drops.
They really did not think this though and personally i didn’t mind the random bronze troop order drop.
Sure you got alot of random soldier you didnt need but atleast you could put them to use in the academy after you had ranked them up.
Increasing soldier stats via the Training option correspondingly reduces the bronze order cost of leveling them up, so it’s not quite as bad as it initially seemed to me - the 54 bronze order picture I posted above was without improving soldier stats.

I had already spent enough time learning how to order troops, unlock their talents, and then academy up my troops up. selectively to get the best perks.
The number of bronzes consumed to add a star is far too much.
I have a bunch of half trained recruits and they aren’t anything like what I was aiming for.
True, going to be rough for newer players.
I think the right thing for them to do is to have an exchange, where an X number of bronze orders can be used to get a silver order, and an X number of silver to get to gold.
This should be applied to weapon orders as well.

Fully agree. Silver orders are how to come by, recruiting full squads on more than a couple campaign factions is going to be hard.
Getting rid of recruiting soldiers with bronze orders isnt good

The drop rate on soldiers is now junked and I’m a bit confused.

Near as I can tell you want to train first before leveling, since that way you qualify for higher cost perks. Assuming you WANT those higher cost perks that is.
They might have well told us to bend the hell over
So you increase the amount of perk points to use for the perk with training and burn them into an available perk slot with rank.

There is now ABSOLUTELY no reason to go level up all those 1stars to burn in the academy…
But I dont want to mess with them til Gaijin comes to their senses.

I guess next step advantage would be to gobble up a few of the high soldiers while the silver order cost is all the same.
I notice that the ranking up a Assault 3 costs a lot more bronze orders than it does to rank up an Assault 1 yet the silver order cost is the same
To get my Sniper 3 from IV to V it costs me 72 bronze orders, yeesh. I know the price seems excessive, but I also try to consider how long it would take to get 3 IV Sniper 3’s from random drops in order to get a V from the academy method… just to put things in perspective.
my old level 5 AT Gunner (done nothing to him after patch - I cannot Train anyway)
12 Speed, 17 Vitality, 19 Weapon Handling.
AT Gunner I is -2 speed, +2 vitality and +3 weapon handling class… but difference between Weapon Handling and Vitality is 2 points instead of 1, and Weapon Handling and Speed 7 points…
Did my old soldier get jebaited out of possibility for max stats because he didn’t get max roll originally in the past?

Yes many people did not like the academy … I think this is a positive change but does need some tweaks and adjustments …

Yeah. So throw the baby out with the bath water.
At least the academy refreshed all your perk points.
At least the bronze burners gave me 4 and 5 star troops.
Now what is even the point of having a troop reserve in the hundreds?
That moment when you wonder why you even bothered with PREMIUM ACCOUNTS.
I don’t need any more exp now. My soldier farm is dead.
I don’t need the reserve size boost of 100. Because I’ll be getting rid of every uselessly perked extra.
I don’t need the Academy training speed boost. Because it doesn’t exist.
So I get 2 extra squads per campaign and an xp boost? Fuck that. I would’ve perma bought the squad increase in the campaigns I play instead of paying for a year of Premium up front.
Call me salty, I’ve been playing this for 26 days. probably 6-8 hours a day. I thought I was getting somewhere.
I won’t invest my time in a game that will fuck me at a moments notice.
