can barely damage any tank with the same BR with its so called cannon, if u practice enough the rockets will help but with its heavy chassis and average turn time you’re most likely to crash most of the time.
whle the IL-2-37 with its very effective mix of arnament, even BR4 tanks are easy targets and still it remains in BR3 and no one complained, also despite its heavy chassis and slow speed it still has a outstanding turn time.
Moving this down to BR3 would be a huge power creep so I can’t agree.
To start, 4 Wfr.Gr.21 rockets in BR3 is too strong. The FP-5 event plane with 4 HVAR rockets is already very strong and HVARs are significantly weaker than Wfr.Gr.21s. I think the Fw 190 A-8 is a strong plane but within the limits of BR3 with 2 Wfr.Gr.21 rockets. You also have to remember that if this plane gets down-tiered it will fight BR2 sometimes as well.
The Bf 100 G-2 is also not comparable to the IL-2-37. It has 4% worse turn in exchange for 50% more speed and a 55% better climb rate. The IL-2’s NS-37 cannons are good in BR3 with 68 armor penetration at 100 meters, but the Bf 110’s 37mm BK 3.7 has 101 penetration and 31% higher velocity.
I have been flying it a lot in Germany BR4 and I really like it except against jets and BR5 tanks. It only suffers at BR4 because most games are up-tiers and BR5 vehicles are crazy. I think that problem should be solved with matchmaking rather than pushing BR3 up to BR4 power levels.

This plane reigned supreme in Normandy before, but now it suffers terribly from rocket barrages fired by bomb monkeys. I wish Germany could equip its own rockets.
I wouldn’t even compare it to the IL-2-37, the 37mm on the BF-110 is terrible against tanks despite what the penetration stat says. Also the IL-2-37 should be moved to BR2
I wouldn’t mind the IL-2-37 dropping to BR2 either. The IL-2M type 3 eclipses it in BR3 so there’s no reason to play the 37.
As for the 37mm on the BF-110, it’s not great at killing tanks but it’s better than anything else at BR3. It’s not just about the cannon either - it’s the combination of good offensive armament, flying stats, and 4 Wfr.Gr.21 rockets.
One mistake shouldn’t be used to justify another. Everyone knows the XA-38 is ridiculous but we shouldn’t use it as a measuring stick for what is BR3 material. At least the XA-38 is an event plane so it’s less common. It’s considerably worse to cause power creep with a tech tree item.
The point is that moving it back down wouldn’t be powercreep considering the Xa-38 persists. Personally I think they should keep the BF-110 at BR4 and remove the 37mm or replace it with 20mms, then move the Me-410 with rockets down to BR3
