When Italy was slowly converting from 6.5x52mm too 7.35x51mm in 1938 they made an updated model of the Breda M30 LMG, but due to the brake out of war Italy had to cease production immediately, in short noticed and went back to production of the M30 model in 6.5 Carcano, very few of the Breda M38 LMG was ever produced but still saw some service around the war.

This isn’t a M38 LMG but there is no real difference between the 38 and 30 visually.
The major differences between the M30 and M38 would be,
Higher recoil,
More accurate,
More damage (due to the Spizter round),
But it would have the same RPM of 500-650,

& it’s lmg,
Sadly the gun is very rare today due to the very limited production it had, and not much can be said for overall.
The reason I think the method through event would be Ideal, because the gun isn’t unique enough to be a premium item for a squad, but it’s exotic enough to be apart of a event in a squad where more players will have access to it, and would add something players been wanting a new event Italian squad which no new Italian squad had been added since the OG-43 event para squad, and would add a lesser known firearm to the game with another Italian squad.
The reason it’s br2 due to the gun is a LMG which all go to br2, the lowest but it’s pretty balanced for a firearm addition to the game.
