The jump from BR3 to BR1 may seem major, but not for this heap of garbage. The Na-To is one of, if not the, worst tanks in the game, and the fact that it’s still sitting at BR3 is embarrassing.
Let’s start with the good, the gun performs really well against tanks. You can easily punch through Shermans with the APHE and destroy them with minimum shell expense. If downtiered the gun will perform just as good, but then again it’s not hard to punch through the armor of most tanks in the lower BRs.
Now let’s start with the bad. Firstly the armor is similar to the M13, which is terrible. 12mm at the thickest stops everything except the stuff meant to actually kill tanks, so any tank you face will have 0 problem dealing with you. But most of the time you’ll be fighting infantry, and that 12mm of armor doesn’t matter before 4/6 of your crew isn’t even protected by it.
From the front your commander and gunner have their heads exposed, which is easy pickings for vehicles and infantry alike. Then from the side both of your loaders are completely exposed along with your commander and gunner. On top of that, your tank is a massive, fairly slow moving target, so picking off your crew with a rifle is no problem for infantry. Also, your tank is the wet dream of any pilot, a massive, exposed, slow moving target that can be destroyed by simple gun runs.
And lastly to prevent people from crying about HE spam, let’s go over the ammo load out.
You get 17 APHE rounds, which isn’t terrible considering those are what are gonna be killing tanks. But then you also get 16 APCR rounds, which are just objectively worse than the APHE and you’ll never live long enough to run out of APHE. But then the real killing blow, only 7 HE shells, barely enough to even make a difference let alone enough to make it worth spawning in the heap of garbage. Another thing you’ll notice while looking at the ammo load out is that despite your commander poking his head out over the armor plate meant to protect him, you’re still stuck in periscope view.
The Na-To is currently just a bot tank, because no real player will actually use it. Even at BR1 it would serve more as just a way to deal with Grants in an uptier, but at BR3 I have no problem calling it the most useless tank in the game.
