The statment is that it’s the best prop plane for jets, that it can easily deal with jets mainly because of it’s armaments. The scenario here, is whether or not the p51 is better than the ki-100. Both prop planes, both similar payloads. There is no comparison in these two threads. To make it extra clear to you, I’m saying the ki-100 is the better fighter compared to the p51.

It’s not about whether or not the p51 can or can’t kill a ki-100. We all know every plane CAN take out any other. The argument is which one is overall better.

For one the p51 isn’t rocking 4 spaced out 30mm auto cannons. That’s the primary reason the 109z is so easily able to deal with a jet.
For 2, it’s not a dog fighter. If you read my comment, i stated it’s impossible for the p51 to not let the ki get behind it at some point because of the ki’s turn rate.
For 3, 20mm rounds are a lot closer to a 30mm round than a 50 cal
I’m saying if there were two equally skilled pilots behind both, the ki would survive more and also kill more p51s in a match.

I don’t use the p51 to begin with? He claimed you simply “boom and zoom” with the p51 and you gain altitude to avoid the ki. I’m stating that doesn’t work and at some point it becomes the ki’s kill because of the size of maps. If there were no boundaries, it would be a different story maybe. Here, the ki’s hold air dominance with dog fighting. And because it has a big payload it’s the better overall fighter.
