Body armor issue - a revisit

My suggestion: buff it to 25% and paint ‘25%’ right on the breastplate, so nothing stays “hidden”.

Stop lie to people! Its a few weeks since you get “No” answer. Let’s say it clear you are bias and you want to cut of a content from game. That’s quite obvoius. But you can’t broke the rules and make the same polls after a 2 weeks, while devs and most of the players at the holydays. Stop lies

It looks like combined ~60% wanted to remove the buffs.
Some wanted all buffs some just bodyarmor.

This topic is about bodyarmor only.

Not a single rule was broken so you can wipe off those tears.

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

So now we’re speaking of nerfing soviets rather than historical accuracy being disturbed.

Almost if like you had some ulterior motives rather than intrest towards historical accuracy.

dont worry, this will be closed too if it breaks rules.
You dont have to worry about being mod.

You know what, it would’ve made sense if I actually gotten ‘no’ as an answer

But your detective work is off since I’ve gotten ‘yes’ by quite the amount, devs swept it under the rug and now I’ve gotten yes by even larger landslide after they asked to wait an undisclosed amount of time and try again

So I waited as instructed and tried again and here we are - people don’t want body armor in the game plain and simple

There are no rules being broken, I’ve worked with accordance to the CMs instructions, this post being made 31 days after the previous one and over 2 weeks of time since Manchuria update, which is quite the amount to get people accustomed with it

Same thing happened on Enlisted reddit, with the removal being the most common option, despite the poll not even being made by me lmao

Well, guy just want to nerf - despite historical accuracy, despite some nations got their buffs - like Japanese singuto in a tech tree. He don’t care - he wants. That’s all

Thanks so much, you didn’t make a poll after closing a previous and wait for a few weeks, but rules tells - no the same polls - after a day, a week, a month.

not really, more like a fix. Just like with PPSh box which you also conveniently were against of.
As none cosmetic should affect the gameplay.
How ever, only the bodyarmor currently does affect gameplay drastically.

If you’re trying to bring up the Japanese swords as a counterpoint, maybe read what I said before commenting? It’s even the RU version of Wikipedia!

Just like PPSH silenced made payble after it was free
Just like Uragan nerfed to br 3

Just like Fedorov 25 made unplayable

Just like all the wasted gear

We have seen it before.

This guy don’t care about balance or equality - he remain silent about 150% singuto boost in tech tree while others do not have it

  • Show us the documents of the body armour working against anything above 9mm rounds.

  • Show us documents that the body armour protects areas that it doesn’t cover.

Current flat 10% damage reduction has the body armour protecting soldiers from full on rifle fire, flames for some reason too, and many many more stupid things. Not only that, the 10% damage reduction applies across the whole body, which is also ridiculous.

It’s not acting in a realistic manner, so do not hide behind this excuse.

I will be the first guy to write a suggestion for Soviet unique, universally available, and realisticly acting body-armour (with appropriate bonuses and drawback), equipable as a backpack slot item, once the hidden buff on the cosmetics are removed.

Cosmetics should not apply effects upon gameplay, if you want body armour with effects then those effects should be realistic, not a universaly applicable upgrade, it should be a situational item, which takes up a slot on the soldier just like all the rest of the gear in game.

Just like every competitor, stg & thompson.

Again. Fix.

By how ? making avt so much better that it has no use ?

Tell me a single balance related reason why bodyarmor should exist.

I can almost touch the irony. A man who was arguably the loudest defender of absolutely broken ppsh41 box moaning how people dont care about balance.

You are free to make topic about subject that keeps you awake at nights.

he probably means damage change from 12.6 to 13.9… it made fedorov totally unplayable.

Here’s some rifle bullets. 150 meters - 100 % protect. So yes bring it

I’ll just remind you that the cuirass thickness was up to 5.2 mm of low-carbon armor steel, plus an anti-fragmentation liner. You can check the penetration capability of a 9mm bullet in open sources.

Since im not native to soviet union.
Care to explain how same plate offers protection from 150 onwards to “Light rifle round” and 100m onward to “Rifle round” that I can only speculate to be 8mm mauser.

…nah, we dont need to do that. Just have him volunteer to wear the armor and ill shoot him point blank with a mauser round

Ahh this old chest nut. Nothings changed for years

Early versions (СН-39) were tested using 1908-pattern rifle bullets with a reduced powder charge (which were referred to as “light” rifle bullets). The СН-40 and later versions were also tested against Б-30 rounds, which is likely what is meant by “heavy bullets”.
