There are things we probably shouldn’t know, so we don’t get banned for trying to translate them.

Damn, feels like its me who make here very the same polls and blame group of people by nation

I think it really was done due to fact it was much cheaper, plenty available compared to lead & copper that had other uses in which it could not have been replaced with something else.

damn, again you are the victim here

Out of curiosity do you have any new points? Cuz it seems like ur cycling through a bunch of points some contradictory to the other. Seeing as this is a follow up post most people have probably seen all these arguments. It seems clear also who has the better argument as the percentages of people voting yes to remove the feature has increase since last time. There are only 4 people here who in this chat who support body armor. All of which appear to be Russian mains. So why is it that Russian mains all agreed not to have the Russian buff removed? Why is it that no one stopped and say, “you know what you’re right body armor should be kept as is in game” you’re fighting desperately but still losing. So I’m just curious what you think you’ve accomplished here. What’s your purpose here.

iirc they started replacing lead core 9mm bullets mid war cause of lack of lead. in mid war they used lead and iron core bullets which were differentiated by color of bullet and in late war they switched to iron core completely.

searched around internet for a while to clarify this, but havent found anything conclusive. all late war 9mm cartridge boxes that i have seen have m.E on them.
probably someone from https://forum.cartridgecollectors.org could actually answer, but i am too lazy to create account just for that.

This is ironic given the only argument that is spammed is that it adds one extra shot… and with low tier weapons fair, honestly

But can’t vitality do that exact thing? (breaking one shot damage breakpoints) I never get one hit downed by bolties in low tier… and in high tier it really does not matter… it’s hilarious how they mention type hei taking an extra bullet when it is the easiest one to use par from the sights AND having an extra 10 bullets.

No. The arguments are: it increases ttk on smgs. Increases ttk on semi auto. Increases ttk against type hei auto. Its stats are hidden. It reduces cosmetic expression by making a meta choice. And it’s only for one faction.

There’s several sub points to this but these are the primary.

Fair enough… it being hidden and a meta choice are two i can genuinely understand.

The Shin Gunto speed boost and Soviet Body Armor effect should be removed. Although we could probably keep it for assault engineers and some premium squads, otherwise the helmet effect for German assault engineers squads should also be removed.(also japan premium rider squad)

available for everyone.

And suddenly the extra bullets are worth mentioning.

Ironic

Nah just give axes the same speed boost

In this publication that I read in 2024, if I remember correctly, they showed documents stating that the weight of Soviet armor was not beneficial and was penetrated like butter by the calibers of 7.92/33

Even so, cosmetics should not give the player an advantage.

It says that:

  1. It was ineffective specifically against a rifle bullet in engagements occurring at ranges of less than 100 meters. This matches the technical specifications, where the objective was protection against shots at normal incidence from distances of… I believe 300 meters.
  2. It is specifically about the SN-42, which is more than twice as thin as the heavy versions of the SN-39, which is the one mainly represented in our game.

Either or

Whether you prefer ‘coolness’ factor and event swords having the benefit or ‘balance’ factor and not locking such a buff behind time investment that gives vets another advantage - this issue is solvable within minutes and surprisingly is only brought up when someone talks about body armor

Almost as if it wasn’t about balance but some people being afraid of losing their little piece of equipment

Maybe I should go and make the post right now just so it cannot be brough up again

Shin Gunto will be better than axes even without the speed boost (longer range). However, I wouldn’t see much of a problem if axes had 150% speed boost. However, removing Shin Gunto’s speed boost is a simpler and better solution.
Having people running around with swords and axes ruins the immersion of World War II to a great extent.

How is it a simpler solution?

Honestly, I wouldn’t even mind removing the speed boost from all melee weapons (even event equipment).
Instead, you could give knives a stamina buff (meaning you lose less stamina while running with a knife), swords a speed and vitality boost only when charging.

As per to shut some people up already, since you are so eager to defend body armor but for obvious reason cannot put the same ferocity into actually making posts yourself to actually make the game better for yourself

Almost as if it wasnt about Shin Gunto in the first place lmao
