Was the fact the Devs appear to be aware vehicles need a new spawning system.
I really hope the Devs do something clever and eventually bring the point cost system over into the main game.
Adding a point cost to Vehicles is the best thing they could do to fix the defenders Infinity Tanks and Kamikaze planes problem.
Attackers already have to pay a heavy ticket costs to throw away planes and tanks, yet the defenders can throw away 2 tanks for every one the attackers bring for no penalty and have clockwork kamikaze planes coming in on the minute for no real loss other then the small amount of time.
Should be something like 500 points for a tank and 750 for a Bomber or plane.
Make people actually play the game, set up rally points and earn some points before they run off on a kamikaze runs with a bomber.
though… not sure how fun will it be for others when we do alot of points and somewhat always lock the availability of vehicles…:
or how fun will it be to get blown up right at the start because they removed/reduced spawn protection. by a random bomb/mine or some bushed up tank crawling and waiting.
One minor different idea is each player should be allowed to spawn one vehicle (a tank or a plane) from beginning of each game, because for some map it is important to have a vehicle to defend point, clear point, or defend from enemy bombers. Using vehicles to assault or in position to defend is a useful strategy in Enlisted as well as in real war.
Also maybe some vehicle intensive players will have difficulty to make contribution with infantry, and it take them a long time to get enough spawn point if they can not use a vehicle at first, which is some sort of wasting of active player.
I paid for my premium vehicles and I want use them instatly. This would completely devalued every premium vehicle. Terrible idea. This game should be kept casual, no need to stress about getting enough points for your favorite vehicle for which you have already paid with real money.
But what about all the explosions, the shitty AI, the dumb teammates (who might be AI but the devs decided not to put a [BOT] tag distinguishing who is AI or not), victory being mostly reliant on either teammates ability to play, the gear your enemy has, how much effort you have to put in, rally points, etc. the fact that fire and wp can go through walls?
I would consider all these things stressful. Not quite sure this is a casual game either. It’s an arcade shooter, just because a large portion of the player base plays like an 80 year old man getting on the computer for the first time, doesn’t mean it’s casual, especially with how some of the grind/events make it feel like a part time job.
Like @ErikaKalkbrenner I’d say it’s good AND bad. I enjoyed being able to spawn vehicles real fast without needing to wait 3 squads out (it’s very easy to earn 250 pts)
Problem was when everyone decided to spawn a mech at the same time. Did a match once where we had 8 mechs on the field and only Bot Mc Gee and John Bot were left to (try) capping…
At a minimum the first spawn for each vehicle you bring should be free. An spawn point system based on score simply means that more skilled players get vehicles and less skilled players can’t answer with their own in a timely manner.
kamikaze use of planes is not a problem id rather see people use up their ammo and crash than having an incompetent idiot hugging the plane an entire match. hate having a battle task that requires a plane and then some fool flies around like a drunk mosquito the entire match.
Then they have more incentive to get better, unless you are playing a shooter for the very first time it is not hard to do average or better in Enlisted
