Berlin Campaign needs rework

Unlike the previous campaign, Moscow and Normandy, the maps has way too much exclusive role of defender-attacker where German can only be the defender and Russia can only be the attacker (And, it is only Bahnof where German is exclusively play role as attacker) Yeah, people may argue, oh… it’s historically accurate where Berlin is besieged so the German will have to defend… yada yada… The thing is, it is way too easy to attack and so much hardship taken into defending. The evil cycle of defending is always like this:
A. You build rally point near cap point,
B. You defend the cap point,
C. Plane bomber wipe out everyone on cap point
D. Massive amount of Attacker rush cap point
E. Cap point captured even before you finish spawn
You can erase the point C when the cap point inside the building, but it is basically the same. Consequently people will stop to play as German because it is too hard to defend, and as the player base of German steadily dropped we will see a lot of it replaced by bot. Furthermore, the Russian base player will have their campaign and character level maxed out faster even before the German Base player can even catch up.

Also Axis player base on this campaign are terrible, that’s certainly reason for many loses. Seems like only beginners or persons who try out this campain first time play for Axis and most players move to Soviet faction soon, because most Soviet players are better equiped, most of them already unlocked weapons like DP-27,PPsh, SVT, there are definitely more higher level better equipped players on Soviet side.
I’ve yet to seen something like this on Normandy but in half of the games axis players don’t even try to win. Players don’t move out to capture points and don’t defend at all and don’t try any flanking manouevers. All they do is rushing same place, die a couple of times and then crowding near spawns entire match. Bunch of lemmings. The worst games are Invasion ones where 1st point is already lost when i connect or it’s lost during first minutes.

The solution is simple add a +100% experiance with join any faction this balance the things, because people flee in soviet faction for a fast grinding

I think it is not that simple… But, you can also be right and it is dangerous because the German player based will have long gone after the Soviet player finish with their grinding. Then, when the Soviet players turns to grind their Germans faction, They only meet with hardest difficulty ever and end up leave the German unleveled… Unless dev make it more balanced, it would be really hard to recover what they have done by butchering the Germans…

This is a tough one, but it speaks to a larger flaw in the game IMO. Planes and Tanks are far to frequent and present in this game. There is a bit of historical precedence here and there, but most of the areas presented had either one or the other…rarely both, and certainly not from both sides. In fact, after D-Day the Allied forces dominated the skies for the most part.

Naturally you can’t limit planes to one side, or less tanks to the Germans, etc. What they can do, however, is reduce the spawn times dramatically. The game is devolving into tank rallies and suicidal planes.

I’m a CBT player and have been playing nothing but Germany on Berlin. Here are my takes….

  1. T-34 will 100% of the time one shot the pnzr 4
  2. T-34 has troll armor and I have been 1 shotted by T-34 in my panther after I just penetrated the turret ring.
  3. Soviet CQB is just crazy OP right now. Axis have to literally grind to end game weapons to just have a fighting chance. Why do the soviets get the laser beam ppsh/ppd while axis don’t even have the STG 44?

To much historical accurate

I am already about 18-19 lvl(not quite sure) of the Soviet campaign, and I want to say that my winrate is about 95%. Those who say that I am a petty liar, I can show over 100 screenshots of match results.

The secret is that I use ONLY push units (2 troopers and 2 stormtroopers), two planes and a tank. Also, I leave the match, if in the first two minutes we did not take the first point. From the capture mode, I leave in any case, since Germany has too much winrate there. I am only interested in fast invasions, where I can earn over 1k XP/min.

By following this strategy, I almost always earn 1k per minute, which allows me to reach qualified weapons faster and, as a result, increase my winrate even higher. As a player who has made the German campaigns in Normandy and the Soviets in Moscow to the maximum, I always choose the best side for the grind, and I’m never wrong.

But let’s see what yesterday’s balance tweak will change in the Berlin meta. Germany is still strong in late game, my 5% loss is when I refused to believe in defeat, despite the fact that the whole killfeed was fucked up like MG34 MG34 FG42 250KG. The assembled German group can stop any type of advance anywhere on the map.

Tank is still fine for me because it is still easy to kill. But planes are horrible, almost nothing can touch it from the ground. If I remember correctly enlisted is infantry focused play, not a Warthunder expansion pack where you can have fun kill infantry. We need to replace that AA gun joke, or at least upgrade it. It is more reliable and effective using your MG to kill the plane rather than this piece of crap AA gun.

Yeah I think dev is just confused right now whether to keep historical accuracy or fun gameplay…

Maybe jerk, I don’t speak Western slang. But I know one thing for sure: I will maximize my efforts to get things done. I am not particularly amused by one-sided matches, but it suits my current goals, so I should use it while I can. I hope you understand.

Agree about all points but nr 3. is biggest reason why axis can’t capture / defend objectives effectively. It’s just close to impossible to fight in cqc with bolt-action rifles, shotguns and mp3008’s when groups of svt and ppsh equipped Soviet players keep rolling in.

And i bet most Axis player are inpatient and quit or switch to Soviet side by level 8-9 because they’re tired of getting rekt and still nothing more powerful is unlocked. And more noobs join but they also quit soon while Soviet players keep upping their levels. Because of inbalance in entry level weapons we might already have this endless circle of inbalance. I doubt many players enjoy the grind and wait till actual level 9 when MG-34 is unlocked.

It sucks playing Germany early campaign. But I’m the type of player that loves the challenge. That’s why I’m sticking to it. What’s the fun in going the ezmode route?

Yeah, me too… And, I don’t mind losing if I have a good fight. For me it is really the gameplay that really matter because I am not a the type that win-rate grinder stats kind of person. The problem is, you are not even have a good fight playing as German. You are just a plaything… Soviet tank 1 shot kill you, most of CQC you are the one ended wiped out, soviet fast rush your cap point, after you dead those soviets just starting to camp in an impossible position with heavy guards… etc… etc…

yeah, and I hope dev would fix this very soon and take it seriously, otherwise game or at least for berlin campaign will die soon cus no one will be willing to play german side anymore. At least this is the case for my enlisted gaming group - some stop playing enlisted even, others switch to normandy or moscow, we all wait till new balance update which address this drops.
one side winning game = little amount of people willing to play german = increased queuing time and more and more bots trying to fill the void = not good for everyone.
