No, it is not. The weapon simply doesn’t fit the game at all. There’s no need for something like that, when there are literally already 3 berettas with 40 mag in BR2/3.
I have no point what’s benefit in introducing literally the same weapon yet again, but just with worse mag capacity.
It’s completely irrelevant if the mag existed or not.
Me personally, I don’t care, however I like choice and the more choices you have the better for the gamers. For example, there are many Thompson variants, however I don’t mine seeing more Thompson variants, so in retrospect I would be fine with more Beretta variants as well. Adding additional variants changes nothing in the game, if you don’t like a new variant, don’t use it. 
It literally doesn’t cost anyone anything for having it available, unless it was premium or event.
However, not a ten round variant.

It’s a Beretta M38A, seems pretty fitting to me. Maybe it’s out of place in a WW2 game, or perhaps I need my eyes checked.

In the tech tree, sure. The M38A is different from the M1 and M38/42 due to a higher rate of fire, even if it is a small amount.

It literally isn’t the same weapon as the M38/42 nor the M1. It’s like saying the Gewehr 41 is literally the Gewehr 43?

If It has Bayonet yes, if it doesn’t, no and it shouldn’t be a TT in my opinion, considering that a 30-round magazine was rare.
Nothing stops you from loading only 30 rounds into the 40 rounds magazine so its not game breaking even if 30 rounds mags are post war.

I've actually already had this debate with @SdKfz173DW-live in private.
We were discussing research that he sent me, we just also got into this discussion at the same time.
Though, I don’t mind the coalition of “magazine existed” + “just partially load the mags” crowds cooperating here, because I care about results… I think it did exist, and I would like a BR II Beretta M38A, if people have other reasons for wanting the same thing I won’t argue (too much).
Oh but when japan gets virtually the same tank 3 fucking times it’s no big deal.
Soldier do load less into their magazine to avoid stoppages and other reliability issues so it’s not unusual in reality, however it would be the first gun to have less ammo loaded in game since reliability is not a thing.

Because it would only reveal how indifferent this new Beretta would be compared to the others.
Yeah, because people will definitely be thrilled to be able to grind event based around the weapon that is present about three times in the tech tree, in superior forms
And counting the 20 magazine variants, this would be the 6th variant of the Beretta.
But if people want to literally push the sixth Beretta to the most overbloated BR in terms of SMGs. Okay, lol.
I guess more than 20 BR2 German/Italian SMGs (including event/Prem) aren’t enough.
But whatever.
I would really appreciate having something unique. And definitely not another BR2 SMG for the Germans/Italians. And especially not copypasted one.
Depends on the issue, early MP40 magazines in extreme weather conditions were loaded for only 27 rounds before guiding rails were added which fixed the problem altogether.

Br1 m38 is more than capable for b2. Is without a doubt the best br1 smg with it’s recoil and sweetspot rof. Only the patchett rivaled it even though it has much worse recoil, but it’s now going to br2. I don’t care to see another m38 with 10 extra rounds for br2 and use dev time up from doing something else
