We should have the option to use our rifle’s bayonets as knives, either just to buy for the actual slot in our soldiers’ inventory/gear, or to have as the blade when we have a rifle with it equipped.

I know a way they could do it too.
Just make the bayonet item a small cube or something that won’t be visible, but make its collision match the bayonet on the gun. Then, when equipped it could function in a similar way to the folding iron sights on the FG42 sniper, when you attach the bayonet, it just alters the location of the bayonet_mesh, on the gun, rotating it so that it appears flipped out.
@Euthymia07-live can you consider sending this to the devs, not a priority, but some food for thought.

Why not give players the ability to mount/dismount bayonets and if dismounted let them be used as a knive.
Seems to be much more logical than buying extra “bayonet knives” while one is still mounted on your rifles (so essentially you would haul around 2 bayonets).
Ah bit what if you needed to switch between the two which is handy, damn out of ammo wait ill ise this long pointy stick, no wait i can take it off and have a shorter hand held pointy stick. Xxx
