The Mkb42H and Mkb42W rifles feature a bayonet lug. They should receive a bayonet in order to distinguish them from the STG44 and create more variety as opposed to the STG44 being the best and only option.
Additionally, the Mkb42H and Mkb42W should have their recoil stats be lowered to match the STG44. The primary differences should be dispersion and ROF and the bayonet. This would create variety and more interesting choices to make and improve the depth of the BR5 arsenal.
In real life there were. That’s why in most war photographs you rarely see them. They were only affixed when close combat was anticipated. I just think it would be neat and add a few smidgens of immersion
I rather see Mkb42(H) dropped to BR4 instead since a bayonett and recoil buff won’t make this gun BR5 worthy.
Its low fire rate and terrible dispersion are still the main issues but if it got buff than that would a good excuse to keep it on BR5.
I disagree with adding a bayonet for every gun that supports them in any way, so that they could have them on default.
Instead those should be obtainable only after unlocking all of the gun upgrades. I dont want everyone running around with bayonets like its WW1, even though useful, bayonets shouldn’t be that common
Would be interesting to have a coomand for you and your bots to place them and then order a bayonet charge. That could look cool and give an interesting mechanic
a bayonet gives a little recoil reduction so having one is a buff, if it functioned the otherway around, ie give recoil nerf then more people would remove them, especially from automatic weapons.
My problem is that the Mkb42 → Mp43 → STG44 are all direct upgrades from the last. The correct choice is to literally ignore the first two rifles and use the money you save up to equip STG44s
I think that’s poor balance. There should be pro’s and con’s to each rifle to make it a strategic choice on what to use.
