Im afraid it wouldnt lead to more sales, since you wouldnt need more premium squads anymore, you could just have one or two and just swapping weapons,
Lets say you buy one MG premium squad for respective faction, other more expensive MG squads would stop making sense to be purchased anymore, only incentive to buy them would be different uniforms which if you dont care about looks you dont need, or perks that can be changed anyway
Now lets say you buy 9 Infantryman squad armed with Lebel BA rifle, back in a day it had cost of 10 bucks or so, you would have an ability to swap their guns for FG 42 II, unlike other players who purchased Gerat 03 rifle squad for at best 30 bucks when ON SALE, not only it wouldnt be fair to those players but it would depreciate the whole concept of premium squads these devs created
we paid primarily for premium bonuses, unique weapon, unique uniforms (which are not even historically accurate in some cases), i also understand late game players view on premium squads and its usefullnes that ability to change weapons in these squads would give them a bit more fun to tinker with for awhile, but for those people premium squads are pretty much irrelevant and their special primary weapon (and sometimes uniforms) are the only incentives of playing with these
i hate to see changes that happens to these squads especially when it comes to nerfs, ill never forget how angry i was when i found out my squad of 7 premium assaulters armed with MP41 all of a sudden had only 4 assaulters without engineer or AT gunner, it took them hell of a lot of time and rant to do smthn about it, as game evolves the concept of premium squads somehow tries to evolve along with bare minimum changes they can do lol
I agree with that this old prem squad(tbf, not only this squad but all of those old prem squads such as MG squad with 4x LMG/Assaulter squad with 4x SMG and Only 5 man engineer squad etc)needs a revision but i do not agree with outright giving it 30 rnds mag. I’d rather buff M1918 BAR gun itself a bit, it should get less penalty on sprint/run speed and faster ADS speed, just like captured premium M1918A2 BAR on Japan faction since M1918 BAR also does not have the bipod and some other addition compared to M1918A2 which indeed makes M1918 BAR about ~1kg lighter than M1918A2 or M1918A1.
Well why not ? Both Bren guns, Vickers berthier has 30 rnd mag on BR2, unlike BAR that has 20 rnd on BR3 against MG34 that has 50 rnd , besides 30 would make this BAR way more interesting and since it doesn not have bipod and is meant to be shoulder fired, size of its mag wouldnt be so much issue
id actually agree with that, though i don quite understand your point where you say Captured Japanese premium BAR A2 was buffed because it is heavier than M1918 without bipod which is also lighter cause it doesnt have bipod ? sounds like it should be exact opposite

Unlike those guns you mentioned, BAR is one of the best LMG to run on BR 3 due to having the least BS LMG penalties in the game(There are other "LMG"s that have even less penalties than BAR in the game but those are BR 4 etc etc. Examples being Fedorov LMG and Hei-automatic LMG, both are premium unlike BAR ofc which also available in TT). And you know those penalties are extremely severe ones as they often literally halves your run/sprint speed and mess up your ADS speed, thus you can run BAR like one of those SF rifles on BR 5. Kind of. Giving BAR 30 rnds mag with the current stats would make it literally the best “LMG” in the game on BR 3(Yes, even if it’s the most crappy version of BAR that is M1918).
Maybe because it’s premium and Darkflow wanted to give it something unique compared to other BAR, who knows. IIRC, Captured japanese BAR also got slight more recoil compared to M1918A2 as well.
Well I wouldnt mind those penalties if they appear on 30 rnd mag BAR, imo keeping it 20 rnd and lowering those penalties even more than current state (since movement with BAR as you say is already agile and poorly penalised ) wouldnt be that much interesting than larger mag and it would not justify the cost of M1918 premium squad which now looks more like a cheap scam since very same M1918 BAR is in TT
collectible squads are literally a scam. You don’t “own” or “collect” anything, you immediately lose it whenever the developers decide to shut the servers down and there’s nothing you get in return
If you don’t mind those heavy penalties on 30 rnds BAR, then why not. Altho, i doubt that Darkflow would revise this old prem squad by giving it 30 rnds mag. They’d rather make a new prem squad out of it. Probably.

Makes enough sense considering what you were saying… you’re right and i should have looked at the context and i would have realized that… thought you were saying because it’s mot going to be as good then there isn’t a reason to do it.
