Cosmi Americo & Figlio is an Italian shotgun manufacturer located in Ancona, Italy. The company manufactures semi-automatic shotguns under the name Cosmi. Only approximately 7,500 guns have been manufactured since 1930, and individual guns are unique enough that parts are often not interchangeable.[2] Each part is individually serial numbered. The shotgun is available in three calibers (gauges): 12, 16, 20, and .410 bore.

The Cosmi and Rheinmetall 4 are both semi auto shotguns made by axis countries. one is 4 shot so br4 the other is 7/8 so br3 though it could be br2 if event or premium. Both were mor civilian weapons made in small number only a few thousand in total. the nr4 is only based on the browning auto 5 as is the Cosmi even less so.

While no country used shotguns in the army the way the us did every country used them to some degree. Even Japan, Germany and the UK used them for rear units that could not be outfitted with SMGs. The abundance of smgs and rifles to almost every class is boring. shotguns are a rare weapon given their limited utility. adding slugs would be an option that could be toggled like auto and semi auto.

Shotguns as a survival weapon for pilots of the air force, navy, army and even space. The M30 drilling is one such weapon even the USSR would later give the to their cosmonauts. A better weapon for pilots and guerillas rather than giving them semi auto rifles. just no fire shotguns they already took cod and thaty was more than enough.
