gameplay purpose & role
→ “Sturmkampfgewehr (StKG)” is a grenade-rifle launcher. It’s provides infantry fire support by launching grenades beyond hand-toss range, hitting targets in dead space (cover), clearing fortified positions, suppressing enemies, and damaging light vehicles, using various rounds like high-explosive.
With the release of the RMN-50 on russian side and the Arisaka Mortar Rifle for Japan it’s now the time for the Axis and the Allies (if I find a suitable wepaon). Even after the nerf for the grenade launchers, the RMN-50 and the Arisaka Mortar Rifle are still fun to play. For this reason, the Axis and the Allies should not be neglected. In my view, both nations should be allowed to participate in the fun.

The Sturmkampfgewehr was an unusual weapon made from a cut-down Kar98k rifle. No official Nazi documentations exist surrounding the weapon, so it is impossible to know for sure what exactly its intended purpose was - although it was most likely a cheap and easy-to-produce anti-armor weapon made towards the end of the war. Copies were made in post-war Norway, and it is near-impossible to determine the Norwegian copies from the legitimate German models, since both variants lack any markings determining the place of manufacture. Multiple StKG rifles were recovered by American forces that captured a German training ground in Hillersleben in 1945, and were taken to the Aberdeen Proving Ground for safekeeping
