:white_check_mark: gameplay purpose & role

“Sturmkampfgewehr (StKG)” is a grenade-rifle launcher. It’s provides infantry fire support by launching grenades beyond hand-toss range, hitting targets in dead space (cover), clearing fortified positions, suppressing enemies, and damaging light vehicles, using various rounds like high-explosive.

With the release of the RMN-50 on russian side and the Arisaka Mortar Rifle for Japan it’s now the time for the Axis and the Allies (if I find a suitable wepaon). Even after the nerf for the grenade launchers, the RMN-50 and the Arisaka Mortar Rifle are still fun to play. For this reason, the Axis and the Allies should not be neglected. In my view, both nations should be allowed to participate in the fun.

:white_check_mark: historical datas:

  • designer: unknown
  • designed: unknown
  • produced around 1944
  • estimated a few hundreds (unknown)
  • action: bolt-action assault grenade launcher
  • caliber: 2.6cm Mortar Shell Cartridges or 326 LP and 326 LP Anti-Tank rounds
  • armor penetration: 50mm
  • range: 75m - 350m

The Sturmkampfgewehr was an unusual weapon made from a cut-down Kar98k rifle. No official Nazi documentations exist surrounding the weapon, so it is impossible to know for sure what exactly its intended purpose was - although it was most likely a cheap and easy-to-produce anti-armor weapon made towards the end of the war. Copies were made in post-war Norway, and it is near-impossible to determine the Norwegian copies from the legitimate German models, since both variants lack any markings determining the place of manufacture. Multiple StKG rifles were recovered by American forces that captured a German training ground in Hillersleben in 1945, and were taken to the Aberdeen Proving Ground for safekeeping

No, because i’d rather have pasta faction representation with the Lanciabombe 60… and from what i’ve heard this projectile is actually no different than the one fired from kar 98k launcher except its own mount but thats just regurgitating what ive heard…

This weapon was never actually made i think so honestly the likes of it being added is low but i dont think its far from other additions.

Shameless plug and yes i’m against your suggestion in favor of mine and thats because they wont add two…

I also haven’t bothered to make a new suggestion for it yet so i can’t be too bothered by this… however i must repeat again im pretty sure by what ive heard and now looking at it… is actually the same projectile as the kar98k launcher so theyd have to make up stats

The explosive filler mass in shells for the Sturmkampfgewehr (StKG) is incredibly small—only 7 to 15 grams. For comparison, the Type 89 shells used in Japanese Bougainville-type grenade launcher
contain about 150 grams of explosive, while the Soviet RMN-50 carries around 90 grams.

However, there is an interesting alternative :eyes:

I hate nade launchers.

Because its not a HE more a HEAT. 22gr Hexagon in chaped charge to penetrate 50mm armor on 60 degrees. For a HE one maybe use these wich i showed above

credit me as well beacuse: Sturmkampfgewehr/Granatkarabine for Germany and Lanciabombe for Italy
