Automatic transformation of saboteur weapons

I propose adding an automatic transformation for Saboteur-class weapons depending on the enemy faction for a given battle. This applies to the unique, single weapons that come with these soldiers.

For example, when a German Saboteur is engaged in combat against the USSR, his weapon remains a PPSh, but when against the USA, it transforms into a Thompson. This applies to all four factions. The weapon simply transforms into a similar weapon available to an ally on the other side of the world.

However, the MP-35 doesn’t fit well into this scheme. The only reason this weapon was chosen is because Germany has this weapon in TT and because the MP-35’s barrel casing very vaguely resembles the Type-100. However, the MP-35 is more likely to give away the intruder’s presence because it doesn’t resemble the Type-100 enough, and Germany almost never uses the MP-35 in the game, so a soldier with it would quickly arouse suspicion. I propose transforming the Soviet saboteur’s weapon into an MP-40 when hitting Germany, and into a Type-100 when hitting Japan, just like the US saboteur. Likewise, for the US saboteur, transform his Type-100 into an MP-40 when hitting Germany.

So, the final scheme:

USSR

vs Germany - MP-40 | vs Japan - Type-100

USA

vs Japan - Type-100 | vs Germany - MP-40

Germany

vs USSR - PPSh | USA - Thompson

Japan

vs USA - Thompson | vs USSR - PPSh

And yes, saboteurs are armed with weapons of different BR. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to standardize all of this. For example, by replacing the PPSh with the PPS and choosing the Thompson and Type-100 modifications for BR2. Or, conversely, the modifications of these weapons for BR3.

100% agree. What’s the point of using captured weapons to blend in if half of the time you are going against wrong enemy
