Enlisted should add automatic rifleman and automatic rifle category because Enlisted have broken balance.
In BR5, all riflemen can now carry automatic rifles, to the point where there is almost no need for anyone other than rifleman.(It may be an exaggeration, but I don’t think it’s entirely wrong.)
So, take the automatic rifle from the rifleman and give it to the automatic rifleman.
squad will have one to two automatic riflemen.
For example, the FG42, M2 Carbine, T20, AVS, AVT, and Type Hei fall into the Automatic Rifle category.

I don’t think that’s the right move. I still think substantially increasing recoil to levels of the federov 25 is the right call and having default fire mode semi auto

I would be happier if enlisted took the time and effort to create a new class, but that’s the more realistic option.

Ur suggestion would leave me 5 without a default rifle and would still have select fires absolutely dominating the meta. My solution fixes the issue. Allowing specialist to shine and even out the balance between br 4 and 5

The BR5 default rifle without, but it will be The lower number is carried up. BR4 rifles become BR5 rifles, and BR3 rifles become BR4 rifles.
And not everyone can carry an automatic rifle, so the balance is much better.

It’s not much different, but I think this is more enjoyable and historical.But your suggsion more feasible though.

My suggestion is also historical as that’s how these weapons were used irl. Semi auto mainly, full auto very close range or on bipod.

History man: select fires were mainly used in semi auto as they were uncontrollable from the shoulder. Besides maybe t20 and ig the fictional type hei auto which could manage in bursts.
