Suggestion for an Italian APC squad equipped with the Breda Dovunque 52 truck
This is the first episode of my series of suggestions with easy-to-create Italian event content under the name EIEC -Easy Italian Event Content (the acronym is used so you can find it more easily)
THE TRUCK
The first prototype of an all-terrain truck was presented by Breda to the Research and Experimentation Office in December 1936. Evaluations continued until 1938, including trials in Italian East Africa. The outcome was positive, and after some essentially aesthetic modifications, 48 Breda 51s were purchased by the Ministry of the Colonies. At the same time, it was adopted by the Royal Army, which used it on all fronts during World War II, and, after the end of the conflict, by the Italian Army.
In 1941, a model with a reinforced chassis, the Breda 52, was produced, destined to become the basis for the 90/53 autocannone. Some of this version were converted into trucks, but due to the limited numbers, little information is available on their use.

WHY THE BREDA 52?
The reason is simple:
Incredible ease of implementation compared to other vehicles.
In the current situation, the development team clearly doesn’t have many resources available, which considerably reduces the implementation of squads and vehicles, especially for events. Above all, Italian rewards have been practically nonexistent since the release of the Folgore paratroopers, except for a few scattered weapons here and there and an M14 skin. But Enlisted has an ace up its sleeve: WT.
The truck in its 90/53 version is already present in WT fully modeled and functioning and since the developers take practically all the vehicles from WT they can take this easily and have a 90% ready product which means a huge amount of time and money saved but there is still a little bit of work to do.

THE WORK TO BE DONE
You have to remove the gun platform and add the truck bed and…that’s it.
That’s pretty much it. Otherwise, the vehicle is practically unchanged, except perhaps for a higher speed due to the removal of the heavy gun.
Breda 52 in 1944 as you can see the truck bed is very simple

POSSIBLE ADDITION
If developers wanted to make the vehicle even more unique, the 52, like other Italian trucks, could have been fitted with tracks on the wheels for soft terrain like snow or sand, for greater traction.

THE SQUAD
The squad doesn’t have a classic formation like other APC squads but is more focused on support with a driver, three engineers, and a medic.
There are no unique weapons, but this is a common one among the various APC squads, including events.
And that’s all folks,
I hope to see this suggestion become reality, perhaps even soon, given how easy it is to create.
 DO YOU WANT IT ?
- Yes
