The Lee-Enfield No. 6 was an experimental Australian variant of the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle, developed during World War II as a “shortened and lightened” version of the No. 1 Mk III. It was Australia’s equivalent to the British No. 5 Mk I "Jungle Carbine.
Yes this would be cool
No
No way I would rather bring the KV1 to BR2
0voters
The event squad will be the 1st Battalion 2nd AIF.
Why I chose this until
The reason why I chose this unit was because this was the unit my great-grandfather served in during WW2. He fought all across North Africa and was captured along with most of his unit. In the POW camp, he had multiple bones broken by the Germans, who would use their rifle buttstocks to beat him. He survived the war, dying in 1993…
I will add some more information if you guys think it would be cool.
Huge thanks to OggeKing and warfare_master without them none of this would of been possible.
Unfortunately, the Rifle No. 5 was a UK only weapon. It was based on the No. 4 Rifle, which only the UK and Canada used as well.
You should consider switching to the Australian unique No. 6 rifle instead, as it’s more accurate to them (as in, they actually had access to them), and because the No. 5 was an actual used, produced, and adopted rifle by the UK, and thus should be in the tech tree.
Here’s an old post of me explaining the differences:
Hey, just replace the picture with the No. 6 rifle, and change all mentions to the same, and all mentions of the No. 4 to the No. 1, and no-one will notice.
Discussing new British carbines is fine, but don’t downgrade the KV-2 to Tier 2, because that’s like a primitive man trying to smash a tank with a rock.
