Funny - I was just about to replace all my Walter P38 and Luger P08 pistols with Mauser C96 - since it has bigger mags and still reloads super fast.

You can clearly see how Mauser C96 now has like bolt action rifles a single round reload.

A deserved nerf, but man I dodged a bullet there - i have like 30 infantry squads that I use actively. This could have been quite expensive lol.

The OG44 is in serious need of a reload fix.

It practically moves an immovable part.

For the coming update will different uniform and customization options finally be added for us to change and modify soldier loadouts? I want MP40 pouches for my SMG squads for Germans and I want Thompson stick mag pouches and sten for my US/UK troops. PLEASE. I’ve been asking for 3 years. I have posted so many times about this. These items are already IN GAME. Give us the option to pick DIFFERENT uniforms from Stalingrad and mix them into Normandy etc. PLEASE.

Belt fed guns on tanks, vehicles and emplacements need moving bolts, belts and casings, not to mention proper reload animations.

Are you also gonna rework the Bipod animations?
They should only be deployed when the weapon is mount up. If the weapon isn’t mount up then the bipod should be folded in

Weapons that for the reload just lower the weapon off-screen, for example PzB-39

Gewehr 43 reload animation is very outdated and needs fixing

It would be cool if the ammo pouches change with the gun your using. Like if you’re using an Mp-40 or MP-41 r you use the MP-40/38 mag. Stg mag for the VG 1-5 and stg family. And if you have the captured PPSH-41 from the saboteur event your guy would have the PPSH-41 mag pouches.

Finally some animations improvement, it took a lot of time, but it’s still very good nonetheless.

Also, am I tripping, or does the reload animation for the Stg 44 still look wrong ? We dont 't see the guy pressing the mag release button on the side, and just pull the mag from the gun as if nothing was keeping it fixed in the magwell.

I hope I’m wrong, because it is very quick in the video, but if I’m not, then the animation for the Stg 44 will still need to be reworked.

Even though this was like two years ago, I’m still really happy that they fixed it

Animation of the bipod model: make them folded by default and deploy when prone or when mounting the weapon on something.

Ok, here are few examples that come to mind and weren’t mentioned by others (I think):

  1. Mannlicher M1895 can be somehow topped up despite using an en bloc clip. This one has been bugging me for years now.
  2. DP-27. Less of an animation issue, and more a rendering one, but something weird happens to it’s bipod when viewing from a distance of more than 10-ish meters. Here’s an example.

image

  1. MP 40/1’s sliding double mag well’s animations are heavily desynced and after firing last shot of the second mag it magically slides over to the initial position. Second issue also happens with Hyde Model 35 and Erma EMP 44.
  2. PPSh (S). Not sure if it’s an issue or an intended behavior, but the animation for charging the weapon looks like it was slowed down. That or the weapon was never properly oiled.
  3. Solothurn S18-100 lacks the animation for charging the bolt after an empty reload.
  4. I think this is an issue? PPD 1929’s pan mag is not spinning.

That’s all I could remember of the top of my head, but I’m sure I missed some. Also, can we please, pretty please do something about the inconsistent or sometimes even wrong naming convention? We have PPD-40 for example, and then there is PPD 1929… Shouldn’t it be named using the same scheme as other Soviet smgs? (PP Designer’s last name first letter, hyphen, date of design creation?) There are so many other examples like this: PP Shpitalny 40 and 43, Bezruchko-Vysotsky SMG, PPD 1944, PPSh-2, PPD-BraMit… They should be named PPSh-40, PPSh-43, PPBV-42, PPD-44, PPSh-42, PPD-40 BraMit or PPD-40 (S).

Cheers.

Very nice ! I tried to look closely in the video, but it is very fast, so it slipped under my radar. That’s the kind of attention to detail that I really like.

I hope we’ll get better FG 42 animations next !
