So far the Axis forces are only represented by Germany. I would like to see other Axis factions for a few reasons. First, give more people a chance to play their nation. Second, Diversity, which is a good thing. Only so many times you can play iterations of Germany. Third, Uniqueness, so few games represent other Axis nations. Finally, it would be just cool.
I propose including nations like Romania, Hungary, and possibly Bulgaria in future European settings.
This would not have to be “every Squad” Perhaps you give them a base infantry squad, or the MG squad. Maybe just premium content.
Japan could have a SIAM squad. Just a possibility. I admittedly don’t know much about it. But SIAM would be a first for any game really.

Add a couple of Italian Squads to the Tunisia campaign. Italy fought hard and well there. Maybe the beginner tank squad (because Italian tanks basically sucked, so they are equivalent to light tanks) Gaijin has all the vehicles modeled and studied for War Thunder as well. Perhaps an Italian Assault Squad. If you don’t want it to be major, have an Italian Mortar or Sniper Squad.
Italy had many different weapons for their troops. So it should be fairly easy to implement.
Pet peeve of mine: game devs using the word “Axis” when they only ever have Germany present in their games. Ditto with regards to the “Allies”, when only the Americans are represented.
But Imo They will be there, especialy first tank squad would be for Italians, as they could have M14/41 from Centauro Division. Also at least first SMg and Rifle Squads should be Italians.
I think it is possible that some Italians Squads will be premium, but imo it will be Germans, as it atracts more players to buy them, but i will buy squads for Tunisia anyway if they will be Italians.
I was hoping that Tunisia would be British vs Italian. But even so, I would hope the the Afrika Corps involves Italian units and that the Allies also features Indian, ANZAC and French troops as the 8th Army was mostly colonial troops.
I love the idea, but mind the game is still in development, this meaning that not all the content is released or even done, and some mechanics are still incomplete
Of course. I’m not complaining. And a World War 2 Game ofc needs to focus on USSR, Ger, USA, Britain, and Japan. But I would like to see the inclusion of as many countries as makes sense. It’s one of the things I absolutely love about War Thunder. So do a lot of people. Another thing, even if you only play USA and Germany it would be nice to see VARIED opponents. Right?
