Thanks. It’s one of the things I LOVE about War Thunder.
Heh, I’d pay good money for a Squad of the 250 Infanterie-Division
Italy was an important part of WWII. I am one of the few people who mains Italy en WT, so seeing it in Enlisted would be lovely, still I believe that they surely have Italy in mind for something
the game just started, there are many core elements to be polished before start adding content
Hope so. It just makes too much sense.
I was expecting Italy to represent Axis in the battle of tunisia against the brits!
That’s what I want.
We can sadly just hope
Oh I think we can do a little more than hope. Just get as many people as possible to drop on by this thread, for starters.
I think that how Italians were 70% of forces in Afrika, they cant just ignore them, especialy when in Normandy campaign we have already Italians weapons, because they want to test them before going for Tunis.
If they Want to test them
I think they want, as Americans have British weapons too, and they did not use those.
And tbh, Germans hated Breda 30, soo i dont think they would ever used it in normandy.
Dont know about rl but i hated the mg 3 ^^ its maybe not the best mg but i love the 30
Hey, dont get me wrong, i love it in game, there it is super weapon. But in reality it was unreliable and was jamming all the time, also 6,5 mm bullets weren’t best. And reloading was problematic too.
@Keofox the main website says Germany vs Britain. Can you confirm if the Axis lineup is all Germany? I don’t want to get my hopes up if there are no plans for anything besides Germany.
Other suggestions: Italy against Russian army 1)to the south front 1941 or/and 1942, in summer; 2)the dramatic retreat from Don in winter 1942/43 (with italian mountain troops aka “Alpini”). There were many battles out there.
Italians Vs Russians would not be very balanced as all they had was L6/40 and Semovente L40.
True. But you could create a “Don” campaign where you can see Romanian, Hungarian, Italian and German troops with related armored units present. And they can coexist (in combinations to be decided) in the same maps.
Example 1: the battle of Nikolajewka, with Italians and Germans mainly (but there were also the others). one or two German tanks participated there (Marder II and I don’t remember the other one). The russians had no tank in this battle.
Example 2: Initial battles during the breakthrough of the front on the Don, where there was some fights between tanks (mainly Germans and Russians), in addition to the massive use of fixed anti-tank positions by the axis.
Many interesting maps could be created.
So you can create maps with the presence of one or more nationalities on the part of the axis side, using the tanks, always remaining in the historical coherence of the moment.
P.S: We had the M13/40 and M13/41 as well
M13/40 and M14/41 were never send to Russian Front, they fought on Balkans and in Africa. Same as several Semovente SPG’s. In Russia there were only L6/40 and Semovente L40 from Cavalry Division iirc.
If there would be Romanians, Hungary, Italians and Germans then that could be fine. But there would be only 2, max 3 Armored regiments, as at least as we now se in Campaign, there is only 2 Armored regiments each side, with tier I and tier II tankers.
If there would be 2, Hungarians could be tier I tankers, as they could have Panzer 38(t) Ausf G, then Panzer IV F, both short and long barreled versions.
But Italians could be one of Infantry class, SMG would be great, as they would have Beretta M38.
Correct. I have confused the displacements of the tanks.
And the other considerations sound good.
