In the game editor there is a Mauser G40K rifle, which is a rare experimental version of the regular Kar98k meant for special units. Because of the rarity of this weapon, it should be introduced through an event as a BR2 riflemen weapon.
The stats of the rifle should be adjusted to be slightly better than the Pre-war Kar98k, to make this an event weapon worth using. This includes a high ROF (70 would be a good place as the pre-war Kar98k is at 69 ROF) and a quick reload in order to keep it competitive against the VG-2 and Pre-war Kar98k

I would rather save it for gebirgsjäger premium/event squad since this prototype was designed for mountaineers

maybe? germany already has 3 riflemen premium squads, but they dont have any event riflemen squads
personally i’d like to be able to give it to engineers without having it locked to a certain squad
As an event weapon it would be nice.

It could also be given to engineers. A br 1-2 event engineer squad would be useful to many

Well seeing how the new map is mountainous, maybe we’re getting the Mauser G40K with the gebirgsjager. Hopefully as an engineer squad. (If it’s not in Italy of course)

Make it the german equal to the Soviet SVT AG squad, give the squad a buildable Infantry Support Gun like the 7.5cm light support gun.
