1x 250kg and 4x 50kg at minimum. In war thunder I always used the 500kg and 4x50kg but it seems they don’t want to go higher than 250kg bombs in the game.

It was either 4x 50kg, 8x 50kg, or a centre 250kg or 500kg and which you could additionally have 4x 50 kg spread over both wings. Only the G-8 could have 3x 250kg. 2x 250kg would make the plane unbalanced.

Well I imagine the F-8 actually flew sorties with less than full payload, much less likely of the B-17.
Also, the BR in WT is so high because of the unlocked ordnance, which wouldn’t be the case in enlisted, and I doubt it flies so well as to compete with jets
