Hello everyone!
I’d like to make a small suggestion regarding the Soviet faction in Enlisted. I believe this is a simple quality-of-life addition that would help balance the autorifle with a scope category between the Germans and the Soviets.
Currently, the Germans have access to the FG-42 II (20-round mag) with a scope, as well as the STG-44 (30-round mag) with a scope. These are very effective and popular weapons for long-range engagements.
On the Soviet side, we have the ABC-36 with a scope, but it is limited to the 15-round magazine . We also have the AVT-40, but that lacks a scope option.
Since the ABC-36 already exists in the game with a 20-round magazine, it feels like a natural and easy addition to add a 20-round variant with an optical scope to the regular tech tree.
It wouldn’t require modeling anything new—the assets are already in the game—and it would simply give Soviet players a proper counterpart to the German scoped FG-42.
Weapon Details
- **Weapon Type:**automatic rifle / Designated Marksman Rifle
- Battle Rating (BR): BR V (to match the FG-42 II and STG-44)
- Type: Tech Tree
- Availability: I suggest placing it after the standard ABC-36-20 in the tech tree, or perhaps after the AVT-40, so players have a progression option for a scoped, high-capacity semi-auto rifle.
- Gameplay Purpose & Role: Currently, at BR IV-V, Soviet players often feel outmatched in medium-to-long range fights against German squads using scoped FG-42s. While the AVT-40 is great for close-quarters spam, it lacks the precision optics for longer sightlines. Adding this weapon would fill the role of a sniper or “Marksman” rifle for the Soviets, providing better parity in high-tier battles without changing the existing balance drastically.
- Yes
- No
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion! I hope this is something the developers might consider to help bring a little more balance to the late-game infantry gameplay. ![]()
