Add Slings to Weapons Equipped with Sling Mounts
I would like to suggest adding slings to all weapons that already have sling mounts or attachment points on their models.
This addition would improve historical accuracy and visual immersion without affecting game balance, as it could remain purely cosmetic.
Examples of weapons that could receive slings:
- Karabiner 98k
- M1 Garand
- Mosin–Nagant
- Lee–Enfield No. 4
- Gewehr 43
- SVT-40
- M1 Carbine
- MP 40
- PPSh-41
- Thompson M1928A1
Slings could be visible both when the weapon is carried on the soldier’s back and when it is held in hand, with simple physics to make them look natural. Weapons that did not historically have sling attachment points should not receive slings in order to preserve authenticity.
This would be a small visual detail, but one that would greatly enhance immersion and make the weapons feel more complete and realistic.
