From a BR 5 perspective, this attack aircraft only carries two 500 lb bombs, which is far from sufficient. It should be equipped with an extra 1000 lb bomb to match the Do 335 attacker.

Well yes no point being BR V attacker if its gonna have BR IV Payload. Unless they are planning to downgrade it to BR IV like the Ki 83.

Let me guess. Did the devs sneak another one of these little aircraft in and strip the F6F-1 of its 1000 lb bombs?

Imho DF should just change F7F-1 to F7F-3 with better flight performance and HVAR racks.
F7F is definitely okay with two 500lb bombs and eight HVAR combination in BR5. Big bombs are overkill for those who can bomb precisely.
The only reason for me to use F7F-1 with pathetic load right now is that I must upgrade my lv3 Attacker squad and B-25J is by far the worst frontline bomber in game.
I’m against it, it’s a fighter, not an attack plane. The Americans already have the strongest air force in the game as it is.

Got it, but that doesn’t really change much. My friends and I didn’t like the Do 335. We tried for a long time to make it work, but it falls apart if you so much as sneeze at it. I think something needs to be done about its survivability.
Please devs, could you add one more 1000 lb bomb to the F7F-1? It’s really underwhelming as it stands now.

Its current payload at BR 5 is far too weak and definitely needs an upgrade. It should carry the maximum possible ordnance just like the P-47D.
I’ve got some payload info from War Thunder. I haven’t flown this aircraft myself though. If we equip it with three Tiny Tim rockets first, what would be the optimal loadout?

You got the tech tree variant wrong. This one only has a payload comparable to the Do 335. You were looking at the F7F-3.

Haha how this changes anything for me they still got the 2 jets how this aircraft is better then the jets? Really this aircraft changes nothing then giving the free players better chances then pushing all to buy the premium jet… So for what are you complaining the premium Jet has 2x500 kg bombs so we want same payload on this plane.
With Japan I dont have planes anyway so why would I care if US have one more plane ?
I dont mind i prefer if I had more plane instead of limiting the allies. Germany is such a spoiled faction like the soviets only complaining.
That’s not possible. In War Thunder, you have to purchase the F7F-3 to use those loadouts. Otherwise you can only fly the F7F-1, which is limited to two 500 lb bombs plus one 1000 lb bomb at maximum.
Well, as things stand now, it just looks like they’re adding yet another attack aircraft purely to fill an unused slot in the tech tree that nobody actually plays. There are already plenty of them, like the Panzer IV/70(A) or the IL-10.
Got it. If that’s the case, adding a 1000-pound bomb would be great too. After all, the two British 500-pound bombs on the F-80A are pretty underwhelming.
You got it wrong again. The F-80A carries two 1000 lb bombs, while the British Meteor uses 500 lb GP bombs.
Oh, my bad. I haven’t been playing the game lately, so I mixed up the names. DF nerfed the two American 1000-pound bombs on this aircraft and replaced them with inferior British ones, just to push the premium plane’s exclusive American 1000-pound bombs. That’s really unfair.
