Adaptive camo for event weapons

Hey all.

First of all, let me say that this thread is heavily inspired by this thread by @StrAnGe_ReD_FoX on the Russian forum:

But I believe this topic needs to be brought up on the English side of the forum alongside the voting system which has been implemented since then.

Secondly, this thread is closely tied to this one:

Lastly, it needs to be said that personally in general I am against too much “camouflaged” weapons in Enlisted, because they were not too widespread in WW2 at all.

The issue.

Let’s say you just got the “camouflaged” special Owen Mk.I:

While this does have a historical reference:

This was obviously not used in Ardennes and it wouldn’t make any sense to paint your gun like this:

Or, let’s say you have the MP-40 “white”.

While this makes sense in Moscow, Ardennes or Rzhev, it looks absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary in Tunisia or Berlin.

Suggestion – camouflaged event weapons should change their color based on the map/campaign.

This technology has existed in video games since early 2010s:

For example, the above mentioned “MP-40 white” could become “MP-40 camouflaged” and slightly change its looks depending on the map/campaign or change from ‘mint’ to ‘war torn’:

Once again I would like to highlight that I am strongly against Enlisted becoming another CoD/BF with their skin-obsession, but at least we could try and stay within reason with what we already have?

dead

WT Live already has support for firearm camouflages for WT infantry mode.

Just keep buying and grinding reused assets here meanwhile.

I also think this should apply to vehicles.

Naturally, that’s why I mentioned

I think they should have vehicle appearance orders so like the soldier appearance order, you can customize the vehicle for each campaign from a selection of options…it’s not like people use a ton of gold buying camos and prevents white tanks in Tunisia.
