The ZH 29 is one of the two BR4 semi automatic rifles in the German TT, and it uses 10 round box magazines made specifically for the gun. However, this gun was designed with compatibility with the 20 round magazine of the ZB26 machine gun. I think that a version of the ZH 29 fitted with the ZB26’s magazine could make for an interesting and easy to make event reward for BR4.

On BR4? Why are you even comparing it to the garand? There are already multiple high capacity semi auto rifles on BR4, this wouldn’t be meta breaking at all. The Gerät 03 (20 rounds), Mondragon (32 rounds), Farquar hill (19 rounds) are all fine on BR4 and nobody has complained about them. And the reload would obviously be longer than the 10 round version, probably around 3 seconds like the other high capacity rifles.
one thats the same reload as the garand the zh29 is 2 seconds the garand is 3.1

if we did have that and we did have a 20 round semi auto this would be a great weapon
Sorry guys we gotta remove everything in the tech tree past tier 1, we discovered that the stuff at higher BRs was better than the stuff at lower BRs.
Maybe to lower the power gap between BR5 select fire rifles and BR4 semi autos, a general damage increase for regular TT semis could be given.
So that the general balance idea would look like:
BR3: 15.3 damage clip reload semis
BR3 gold: under 15 damage but mag reload
BR4: 18 damage 10 round magazine rifles
BR4 gold: 20+ round rifles, but again only 15.3 damage
BR5: 15.3 damage select fire rifles
BR5 gold: 18 damage 20+ round rifles
That way all those cool guns dont have to be sitting in BR4, instead some can go to BR5 or even BR3

Adding in a 20?round only makes it worse
So you have a gun that reloads 20 rounds in the same time another gun reloads 8 or 10 rounds
I was thinking that since ZH-29 is not really used by Axis, it should also be added to Japan as well since Japanese troops captured ZH rifles from China and Siam also used them.
As for why Im against adding 20 round mag ver. for now is mostly because Im waiting for devs to remove body armour damage reduction than try suggesting a SF rifle nerf, bringing all SF damage to MG damage level.
Then I would suggest 20 round semi-auto rifles for BR5 for each faction.

I think we should move the MG-42-100 down to BR4 because of the Stinger, we should also move the G-43 down to BR3 or even BR2 because of the Winchester 1907, and then move the Ju-188 down to BR3 because of the Xa-38
invalidating suggestions in this way is just ugh… garand is TT BR3 and this is event BRIV.
Try sticking to BR3.
In fact, it would be good if the TT had high-capacity semi-automatics in BR4 and all 10-round semi-automatics in BR3.
This should be tech tree for Japan br 4.
I think Germany has some high capacity semi auto options for their br 4 as well that hasn’t been explored yet. I’m of the general opinion all nations should get a tech tree high capacity semi auto in br 4.

Sure we just have to make the mg42 100, g43, and just 188 event weapons for all all existing and future copies and move the garand to br1,
Event weapons are supposed to be a slight improvement over tech tree so unless the gun has a 4:to five second reload it’s not a slight improvement. And yes we all know the mistake of the stinger.
The matter is br5 is a lost cause this would encroach into the still playable br3.
Again if the g43 with a two second reload is br3 the garand at 3’second reload is br2
