Japan should receive its own “flame launcher” like the Soviet Ampulomet or Allies’ Northover Projector. Some have suggested giving them a captured Ampulomet, but I disagree with that. While a captured weapon is this game’s go-to routine, I prefer a little immersion. It’s good when faction’s arsenal is as authentic as possible
A captured amp does not make sense for Japan. The Soviet’s did not introduce the Amp until 1941 and it only had a limited service. While some could say maybe Germany lent one to Japan, I think there is a much better option
The Type 89 “Knee Mortar” also had incendiary shells. I propose this Type 89, propped up on a sandbag, be Japan’s unique building for the flamethrower squad. You’ll be able to lob them like the Ampulomet and Northover
