Some Allied and most Axis weapons are unbalanced so I decided to make topic on the subject so we can help the devs unbreak this game please keep it civil.
More whining about the Wehrmacht. I’m tired of listening to this. create a survey about the imbalance in Moscow, but you will not do it, because “there is justice there.” So that’s why I answer, the Wehrmacht has optimal stats, if you don’t like it - play for the Nazis, what’s the big deal?
I doupt there will be any fruitfull conversation. Most people play only 1 side so they cant really see how things are balanced.
When combined to fact that most players just REFUSES to see strenghts in their own arsenal while overestimating opponents strenghts, im affraid every wrapon is over and underpoweredat sametime…
it won’t stay civil for long.
the weapons are not unbalanced, being the asymmetric balance weapon x is used for one thing weapon y for another others are the same reskinned weapon, such as the beretta M1 and mp40, others are inefficient as their real counterpart (sten) others are efficient as the their real counterpart (fg42) but certainly none of the factions have arms that are totally superior to the other.
this goes for guns, their spam is another book
exactly this
What is unbalanced? Only gun in entire game that might need to be “looked at” is the laser beam drum PPSH on Berlin. Other than that all guns feel fine.
Small arms I really don’t see many issues with. Most things have counters that all though are different designs have pros and cons. I hate the shift to more and more heavily armored vehicles across the board and wish it was more infantry support vehicles than war thunder with infantry
Moscow is probably the best balanced campaign so far, what are you even talking about? Only change I would like to see for germany is the level 30 baretta having a 40 round magazine so it’s actually an upgrade.
As for other ones, the one that really sticks out with bad balance is Tunisia with Italian tanks having no real anti infantry capability.
Normandy is balanced except for 2 bugs and 1 general thing.
Fix fw190 bugs flying and guns
Fix p38g bug (cant kill Panther but counts as attacker)
Make bombs more effective vs tanks.
Done, balanced campaign without changing weapons or vehicles.
Bad players get shot more than they shoot. Must be the weapons that are stronger with the opponent.
I play both sides actually and Germany there’s no reason for me to grind them anymore because its near impossible for me to fill out squads cause I can’t roll bronze orders for troopers.
And its a general discussion we don’t have to talk about balance of weapons weapons was and example not the subject.
what is this? A sane and reasoned perception. We shall have non of that here!
Absolutely agree. I play Moscow and Tunisia on both sides and both sides have good and bad weapons, no doubt about that. People get so fixated on one area and fail to see the big picture.
Honestly Moscow is the most balanced campaign in the game there is really no discussion to be had there.
I play both sides as well and I can say with confidence that Germany is a playerbase issue across every campaign.
Actually in a lot of ways Moscow is too balanced god I remember the good old days in my Pz II fruitlessly exchanging fire with the Russian equivalent
Also in Normandy the Germans have capability that still hasn’t been matched by the Allies and that’s a proper MMG.
I played alot of Tunisia and dabbled in Normandy again but man theyre just so lopsided some times. I’ve since returned to Axis in Moscow and love these matches much more.
Moscow is the most balanced campaign for sure. Though I would argue that there is a bigger gap in equipment if you are high lvl and your opponents are under lvl 20 as opposed to Berlin or Normandy where you can get some nice guns early on.
I dont think guns are that unbalanced though my highest campaign lvl is 15 (cause I play all of them).
The tank balance is that concerns me on the other hand. Tunisia is the best example where axis tanks cant do much against infantry and allied tanks can. That may be correct from historical perspective (though I have no idea if that’s true) it is heavily influencing the balance in my opinion.
