A alternative Thompson for br 3 Germany: The 1921 Thompson with 30 round mag

Personally I would choose 21/28 over the drum 28. Sight is significant for SMGs or any guns really, also the controllability is day and nigh difference. For casual rounds probably drum 28 is a lot better, but when the situation got tense and there’re good aimers on the opponent’s side, then 21/28 is still substantially better.

That said though, non of these two are as good as the Kiraly, so… buffs?

Sry nevermind, I misread those lines, but what I said still holds on the later reply, balancing problem.

Well how would you solve solve the balance problem then?

I support factions having as little captures/clones as possible

I agree, but I would like to stat that Germany is the only factions without a Thompson and a UC.

I would’ve said if I knew. In general I am just not a supporter for adding weapons from opposing factions to be honest, maybe there’s better alternative in Italy, Hungary and Romania for German BR3.

I understand, but like I said earlier, Germany it the only one without a Universal Carrier and Thompson, and I won’t stop till Germany gets them. Not in thier TT but as event stuff.

two wrongs doesnt make a right

I don’t mind the sights on the 28 in general, recoil is definitely a bit worse on the 28 though, but if its that far away id rather have a rifle or pretend I haven’t seen it… I am a casual player, I play the game for fun and I am a US main so yeah 28 it is… Maybe Ive been sleeping on the 21/28 but I don’t think ether Thompson seriously need buffs (to stats at least) because the Kiraly is almost a beast from what little Ive used it and heard of, very punchy. Still I feel the 21/28 might be better off at BR 3 (honest BR 3&1/2 if there were such a thing), problem is the power level between BR 3 and 4 feels so huge and the 21/28 is leaning more towards BR 3.

I know, but I would like to point out that the soviets have the MP-40 as a premium, a TT panzerfust, American planes, the American half-track, a UC, the MP35/1, and the 1921/28 and 100 rounds 1921 Thompson.
Japan got a M2 the Ofenrohr, a tiger tank, a UC, 1938a1 Thompson and a 1921 Thompson.
The U.S.A got the Ofenrohr, type 100 (late), and a copy and past MG42.
German got the PPSH-41, And yes they do ha e a version chamber in 9mm, and a early version too. But that’s it
However, I will respect your opinion

It’s Historical as you point out and they got the 1921 in not insignificant numbers. This isn’t just copy paste being a pre war model, which makes it more interesting in my opinion too.
For me the one vehicle one nation has which the other should also is the M3 halftrack, very iconic, and only as a soviet lend lease which is cool too, but odd the US doesn’t get one as well seeing as they were the primary user. It would be fun if Germany got a Thompson event weapon because right now they are missing out. + kind regards

It definitely underpowered on BR4 that’s granted, but putting it down to BR3 will require significant nerf maybe to its recoil or something.

In general US just doesn’t have powerful TT guns sadly, and it’s basically the most P2W nation in game (There’s Sichuan Thompson on US BR2 which is ridiculously OP).

Well there is a U.S. version in the games files

If that happens then sure, let it be nerf and moved to br 3.
