Trying this again, but simpler. Add a 761st Sherman or stuart that is slower but better armored and that has an African American crew?
- As an event squad
- As a premium squad
- No squad added

Isn’t that an African American unit?
Yes
Then sure, as long ad the tanks a br 3 Sherman.
You know, you could’ve probably gone into more depth about the 761st, and maybe also propose an possibly tank for them. Maybe something similar to the red tail squad?
My apologies, this was a repost from a failed post earlier titled African American and Black Brit Soldiers
The 761st were the first African American unit in combat in WW2. They were also very, very good as tankers. They were known also for defeating the Sherman’s thin armor weakness by welding additional armor on taken off non operational vehicles.

B2 in Iran-live posted that image in the prior chat, but the poll in that chat was being uncooperative and I’m newish to all of this…
I would rather have m4a3 76w vvss for this squad

M4A3 standard issue being locked to an event squad?
It saddens me a bit that about 30% voted they literally
Don’t want a new squad…
And let’s be honest, we know why they voted no… humanity is dumb.
They’re lucky that it isn’t public
So historically this unit added armor in “yard car” fashion anywhere and everyway they could. They spent a ridiculous amount of unbroken time on the front. They were also known for executing beautiful flanking operations and very effective use of speed ( mobility) and MG’s in support of dismounted Soldiers.
Alright, so stick with the original proposal of an M4A# armored for this squad, but add an unarmored to the TT on the side
I think this would work best
I would very much enjoy A TT M4A3, I also want A “come out fighting” squad. I think if they needed a way to differentiate between the 2, they could do cosmetics, or add armor to the non TT version. If they took the 2nd option, the could put it one BR higher if they put on enough to create that major a difference
Interest seems to have fallen off on this, it’s a shame, would have love this squad…
What do you mean, it seems that a good chunk of the 33 people want this squad. But I think the main issue is that you didn’t include a tank for this squad and what br it would be.
Sorry, new to this. Where do people go to produce the images with stats and such in order to create examples?
There isn’t an official way, you could go and find historic images of the tank tou want and images of thw squads. Stats are something you just have to write on your own.
Take my suggestions stat section for example
A alternative Thompson for br 3 Germany: The 1921 Thompson with 30 round mag
The 761st Tank Battalion (“Black Panthers”) was a trailblazing all-African American unit that operated M4A3(76)W Sherman tanks in Europe, most notably during the Battle of the Bulge and the breach of the Siegfried Line in 1944–1945. These tanks, often dubbed “Patton’s Panthers,” typically featured wet ammunition stowage, upgraded 76mm guns for better armor penetration, and were known for a record-setting 183 consecutive days in combat.
Known for service in Patton’s Third Army, they fought through France, Belgium, and Germany, including the Battle of the Bulge.
In 1944, before they entered combat, Patton addressed the unit, saying: “Men, you’re the first Negro tankers to ever fight in the American Army. I would never have asked for you if you weren’t good. I have nothing but the best in my Army”.
“Kill Those Krauts”: Patton bluntly told the crew that he did not care about their race, only that they killed the enemy, stating: “I don’t care what color you are, so long as you go up there and kill those Kraut sons of b*******”.
This would be best suited as a 76mm m4a3 vvss with additional tracks on it (or welded plates) that act as additional armor. It would come with an African American 761st Black Panther crew with SSG Ruben Rivers (awarded MOH) as it’s commander. As it was uparmored, it would be a tad slower than the other 500hp v8 m4a3’s.
The 761st emblem would be on the turret with “Come out fighting” painted on the sides. This tank would likely sit well at BR IV.
