650-700 rate of fire for MG-34

Then create a new post and request the early MG34 with low cadence. But asking for the MG34’s rate of fire to be reduced to 700 rounds is wrong, considering that the machine gun with a rate of fire of 900 rounds fulfills its function according to their doctrine, and then it no longer did.In an efficient manner, that led me to the Best of the MG34/41 and MG34S where I made a publication And with this came the MG42 for a higher rate of fire and to suppress large waves of Soviet soldiers

they never “suppressed waves” they were used in short bursts to create volume of fire over a single point at further ranges, germans also liked mg34 more than mg42 because it had better quality and ate through ammo slower
because germany was poor and had dogshit production capabilities ammo supply shortages were common

Coming from a Soviet fanatic, your answer doesn’t surprise me. The MG42 was more beloved by the troops, especially when it didn’t jam due to dust or extreme conditions. Also included is the high rate of fire to suppress the Soviets with a higher rate of fire.

It just comes from the fact that german section was completely outdated and inferior by mid war, they needed an mg like this because the rest of the squad were k98s

Correction

The very first MG34s had a fire rate selector that made it actually possible to set the gun to around 600 RPM or even lower if I remember correctly - however the MG34 was already extremely expensive to manufacture, thus this feature was removed from later versions and ultimately the entire MG34 was replaced by the MG42 because it was much cheaper to produce, well actually MG34 was not entirely replaced by MG42 because its very clever design made it ideal for barrel changes in tight spaces - which is why it was still being used for tank MGs till the end of the war.

So even though a “slow rate of fire” version for MG34 actually did exist - it was only shooting slow because of a fire rate selector - which means you could switch from 800-900 rpm to 600 rpm.

So a standalone slow MG34 never existed.

That being said - a 100 round belt event MG34 with a fire rate selector would be cool for Germany BR5, since all German MGs are rapid firing.

this
although i would have much preferred a belt version with lower rof than a high rof 50 round one, it could be a fun variant
MG-34 Early
600 rof
much more accurate as a result
100 rnd belt
could even be br3

basically mg13 on steroids

Again - a 600 rpm version never existed - instead those early MG34 had a selector which made it possible to switch from 600rpm to 900rpm.

Yes i can read you clearly, i just said 600 because it’s something different from the current mg34 and would still perform great with full rifle cartridge mg damage, or even a new mechanic of select firerate, imagine if by pressing select fire you went from low, controllable long range firerate to high, dps burst

Honestly I’d be down to see an mg-34 early version with different stats added. Let them cook

Also besides manufacturing costs - the other reason why this fire rate selector was removed from MG34s is because it was irrelevant anyways, considering MG34 had a two stage trigger (kinda simmilar to modern AUG) where you can only half press the trigger which basically allows for semi auto shots.

It’s a healthy conclusion you guys came to with the early version, but the author would do well to add it as a separate suggestion instead of expanding on the idea in a thread that’s asking for a change to the current mg-34.

I won’t argue based on your framework, because your framework is inherently flawed. RoF, even on it’s own, isn’t just “higher number better”, that’s caveman logic.

I have given you the stats above that you have failed to consider, again if you need someone to explain to you why they’re important you shouldn’t be making posts about weapons changes.

And there slips the mask, you don’t care about balance, you just want the Soviets to have the best thing in every category.

That’s not what I would call balance.

Well, bringing an early version of MG-34 probably a good idea. I made this post as a replie to a SVT nerf proclamation, but looks like it comes a new way. I wouldn’t mind to see a prem or event squad, a ln event gun like this

Yesterday I test my br 3 MGS - mg-13-75, vz 1928 and mg-34. Last one was on a second place after 75. It can be a new squad I guess

I making a balance suggestions here since 2020 and bet I proceed to do it after you finally quit

Dear God, and you haven’t learned anything in that time…?

I feel sorry for you.

I wouldn’t mind, but If you go sorry somewhere else, I ain’t be sad, a new one

So body armor is ok, but god forbid the MG-34 having 100 more rpm compared to any other BR3 MG ?

I don’t know, why does the BAR have a 75% movement reduction compared to the 50% of the MG-34 ?

Why is SVT the only non clip fes BR3 rifle ? Why a soviet exception ?

Well, looks like my axis vz 1928 and fn have the same stats, ese
