I’d like to suggest 2 new versions of the M2 carbine but because they are so similar I thought I’d put them both I one suggestion instead.
In ww2 the M2 carbine was equipped with 30 and 15 round magazines, here is a document showing a m2 equipped with a 15 round mag:
M2 carbine 15 round:
This weapon would be in the rifleman category and would have identical stats to the standard M2 carbine it doesn’t have to use the m1 carbine model in fact there is already a alternative model it could use:

Should the M2 carbine 15 be added?
- Yes (tech tree)
- Yes (BP/ event)
- No
What br? (Keep in mind it’s a rifleman gun)
M2A1 carbine 15 round:
This version would be in the assulter category, it could use the currently existing M2A1 model or the m1a1 model.

Well, to be honest, I am neither hot nor cold on a 15 round M2, and if one were added, there would be no point for it to be at BR5 since we already have two with 30 round magazines. So, if it were added, then it would have to be BR3 or BR4, which I would support, however there might be pushback from German and Japanese mains at BR3.
I would rather have Gaijin offer up the M3 sniper version, which is essentially an M2 with a scope, as it would be a good addition at BR5 as a weaker counter to the Soviets and German semi auto sniper rifles.

I only disagree with the M2 being a riflemen weapon because we’ve established it’s basically, technically an assault rifle/ assault class weapon. Why is the M2A1 an Assault weapon and the original Riflemen if the only difference is one has a folding stock! It doesn’t add up! Not to mention the other automatic .30 weapons

The game may not be entirely historically accurate, however I like how the game is still historically referenced as Slakrr states it. So I don’t have an issue with the m2 being a riflemen weapon. Matter fact the US need a br4 rifle in the RT anyway, so the 15 round m2 will due. Though I don’t have a clue what Japan would get though for their br4 lineup. Poor suckers have what looks like nothing on the aspect of rifles available at 4.
Perhaps a 10 round type hei automatic? That uses the type hei (late) mag:
Or perhaps a type hei (late) that uses the type hei automatic’s 20 round mag.

The 20 round type hei auto should be br5 but with a faster reload. So the 10 round type hei would do. I’d say the m2 with the 15 round mag is an exception at br4 since it doesn’t fire a full rifle cartridge like the type hei does
The 10 round type hei already exists, that’s why I suggested a 20 round type hei.
Type hei semi auto with a 20 round mag you mean then?
Ah ok nvm I understand what you recommended now lol
