You will not like this suggestion

Instead of all kills being deducted to your account, only “squad” kills are recorded.

What does this nonsense mean you ask? I answer: for example, 5 enemy soldiers from one squad run against you. You manage to destroy it all (or just a few soldiers, let’s say) - so it’s like 1 frag, it counts when you kill at least one soldier from that squad, and you just get extra xp points for the others. The final table does not reflect the number of bots you farmed, but the number of actual destroyed squads.

Since Enlisted is a weird game with squad mechanics, I think your actions as a player and overall income would be more reflected in the post-battle final table than just dry k/d stats in the “who shot more bots” narrative.

Asking for consistency, are we?

We have kills counted on the individual level
Vehicle kills on the squad level
Assists on both
Building assists on both
Objective kills on the individual
Captures as a team
And deaths as a squad

Frankly, your suggestion would have the opposite intended effect.

Bot squads have the bare minimum number of squad members, meaning that for one to score a “squad death”, you need to kill less soldiers overall, whereas players in a full 6, 7 or 9-man squad would generally be harder.

K/D was never a relevant stat. Winrate is. Lives are cheap in this game.

Your suggestion wouldn’t change anything.

The leaderboard would look more or less exactly the same.

Its actually a pretty good “feel good” manipulation as it is (for those that do poorly). Doesnt actually show you how good/bad your K/D is haha (on the scoreboard at least). Helps out the casual gamer by hiding how poorly they actually did.

if you changed it to How many squads killed, most people wouldnt kill more than 2 while losing 10 squads (2 to 10 ratio…not as easy to look at as 20 to 10 even if its roughly the same thing). Not very feel good for them.

These days people are afraid of the scoreboard telling all. I like to see every stat, but aparantly Im a dying breed. Id rather it masked than removed completely. Darktide was completely ruined for me with no Scoreboard breakdown.

i don’t like the part where you ask to hide the actual kill count and replace it with squad kills. but i would like some method to tally the number of squad i did manage to rekt one way or the other. it’s very low on my want list mind you, but now that you pointed it out, it is there now.

having a higher score than all of the enemy full squad teams is more relevant than a winrate.

there is honour in losing on one sided campaigns.

If the score never contributed to a win, it’s worth nothing.

Just look at wannabe ace pilots farming AI bombers or tankers never bothering to get off and occupy the point.

That 12k score will never surpass the experience you earn with even a 6k score because of the funni win bonus- And given that orders are earned at a rate consistent with experience gain, the more games you win, the faster you get the better shit.

Completely irrelevant.

It will only change one number in leaderboard (and not even important one). I really do not care about K/D of other people.

I may have missed something. Are there actually AI pilots and tankers? I thought not.

It doesn’t change your point. Vehicles have their place but when it’s time to cap or defend a point, boots on the ground are essential.

Pilots farming AI bombers from airstrikes
or
Tankers never setting foot on the objective.

If you’re insinuating that I meant that AI operates vehicles, that would be incorrect. These are two separate examples of players failing to contribute to a win.

This game is filled with casuals. If you thinking changing stats in leaderboard will change their ingame behavior, wow. That’s just extremely naive.
They are simply enjoying the game, they really do not care if your team will win or not.

I see. Agreed.

Reality is that the sort of events currently being run and the grind, in general, make airstrike bombing runs too valuable to pass up for many (myself included depending on match conditions).

Tanks deserve what they get.

I’m always for infantry on point for offense or defense. Vehicles serve a purpose or, for me, are nice after some sweaty matches as a cooldown.

People who thinks this change is somewhat relevant are the exactly the same type od people which are always quitting right before the end of loosing match, so they can have nearly 100% WR in their stats which nobody else is allowed to see anyway, lol.

Where did you get the idea that I’m of the opinion I wish to change how stats are presented on the leaderboard?

I’m largely indifferent to the suggestion proper.

I am also largely indifferent given how I can only trust myself to win matches instead of relying on my team as a whole. They can do whatever they want and I’ll try to make the team win by default.

But you can bet that once shit hits the fan and they fail to perform the bare minimum, I have an easy target to blame.

You may refer to it as a kind of elitism, but frankly, I just want efficient experience gain, and a consistent rate I clear event and battlepass tasks. Since wins are collectively rewarded, they can all join the ride down the slide, so long as they don’t shit in the tube and ruin it for everyone.

True that. I am still forgetting all the time that shooting down bombers gives more points than anything else in this game - despite it practically being as useful as being AFK.

Anyways, we both basically say the same thing, it’s just our measurement examples for being a good player are flawed.

“look at me” I have never lost a match" - because I leave before losing.

Yeah you gotta have no self esteem or a tiny pp in order to lie to yourself in such a way.

I have played for a while with a 10+ man group, we would queue up at the same time and most often get the entire team full of decent players, let me tell you that was the least fun I ever had in this game.

It’s crazy to me that people actually get proud about their winrates here. What’s the point?

You can literally have a 100% winrate while being afk.

It’s hard to count.Because when you kill several soldiers in one player’s squad and several soldiers in another player’s squad, how do you count them?

if you disconnected while in vehicle, there’s a very rudimentary AI that will make sure your vehicle die ASAP via doing stupid shit. more noticeable on tankers because obvious reason.

also, you say that vehicle doesn’t matter but i saved a match by tap dancing between det charges in a bradley (that light tank in normandy allies) in the cap zone while shooting incoming enemies. tho to be fair, i am also heavily aided by the fact that the local pilot is actually good and the team become more willing to actually put their ass on the zone after i hurl insults at the team.

well, i don’t want the kill count score removed, but i do want to see how many squads i did manage to hit and killed (partially) if only to grow my ego even bigger than it already is

this is the real relevant question tbh. the way i want it to be counted, if i kill even a single dingbat bot in a squad, the squad kill tally increase by one. i want it this way because i want to have something soothing to my ego to see during the losing victory screen
