My impressions?
I was amazed by the great results of U45 and EVA who reached ridiculously high Wave on the leaderboard.
I really wanted to watch their replays and copy their tactics to challenge their high scores.
Oops! The topic has looped.
In reality, I couldnât do it because my friends and I didnât have the same leisure time.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting to be able to study the moves of better players thanks to the leaderboards and replay mode.
If a PVE mode is implemented, I hope they continue to implement leaderboards.
Beginners need good role models to play better.
Would like to see future events styled around PVE and also a BP length scoreboard of those most active that season. Most games played or victories would be cool. It will reset when the Battle Pass ends. Adding a new way to receive extra rewards apart from the battle pass or an event happening at that given time.
No, the balance confrontation event was the best. This one was for people who have time to kill zombies in around 4+ hours. For the future, 20+ stage must be like stage 50.
Event was fun, but very distractive of the real matters. We are starting Q2 of the 2024 with no Roadmap on sight, Steam launch being a failure and little content to research, if you are lucky enought to have something to research and not an absurd amount of spare exp. points.
Glad to have gotten into the top 25, I really enjoyed the event and the teamwork and strategies that developed around it! I hope this event returns with more weapons, maps, and enemies, it would be a phenomenal Halloween event. I also like the idea of leaderboard events being based upon co-op gamemodes rather than competitive events, so everyone has an equal chance to get up to the top.
As for the specific details of the event, one thing I really liked was as the waves counted up, there were simply MORE enemies rather than them being bullet sponges. It made the waves more hectic and promoted adapting to situations rather than mindlessly running hordes over the same loop. The map could have had more cover; my best runs went under because someone got downed by a rifleman right at the start of the round through the bushes. The box could have definitely been more forgiving, the amount of medkits and explosive packs were annoying at the best of times. I think that more guns in the box would have been ideal, such as a Sniper SVT-38 to deal with ranged enemies. However, the design of the enemies, from the standard to the specials, were very immersive, and the Eclipse rounds were a very clever and well-designed change of pace. All in all, I really enjoyed the event, and I will anticipate its return, as well as what the map-makers in the community will come up with in the meantime.
Even though I only came within the 63% of players, I had a lot of fun playing this.
I was thinking next time, something should be done about the random gun board conveniently built near the plane, it doesnât really make sense and is a slight bit immersion breaking, maybe replace it with a more scavenger-style system?
What would be cool is if there were certain objectives to complete as a squad (such as capture and hold X position for Y amount of time, etc.), possibly in some form of order to uncover possible secrets of how the motivated were created (like intelligence gathering).
Another interesting aspect could be engineers to build fortifications around good defensive positions.
Iâve noticed people are saying replace the Zombies with banzai chargers. I think this would be a nice alternative.
Also, all this could be an excellent excuse for a belt-fed100-ro-(just joking, but maybe it could be a viable weapon here?).
239k overall players? I feel sad. I remember 511k in an event 2 years ago.
Iâm pretty happy with the current state of the game, and the event was pretty good. But the main focus of the game right now should be: players, players, players.
We NEED to expand the player-base, including to prevent our beloved game from naturally decaying over time as people start maxing it out. The botched Steam release was a very negative setback in that regard, and one that you need to work over.
Iâm honestly not sure how to market the game these days (maybe add incentives for War Thunder players - a huge player-base - to also play your other game, Enlisted. Itâs a win-win situation for you, they will spend more time, and money, playing your products overall, if they play both), but regardless, this is something you desperately need to improve at.
Also I think it would be important to have some kind of progression on the map, to make things more interesting instead of just 1 area. Different parts of the map with different points of interested should open up as you progress in Waves, each stage could end with a boss fight.
Well done! This is not strictly related to zombies but @_Movmav can you please ask the developers to focus on adding night battles to Enlisted? I really liked the pitch dark phase of the zombies mode. But it can do with a bit more visibility. We do have a lot of unused flair guns in the mods editor so adding night battles would also make sense.
It could be more than 239k but they banned a lot of people since at some point i was at 8% of the best players but in the last few days of the event it went up to 5%.
They went full on greed with the Steam launch we said it wouldnât work but they didnât listen. It needs to be launched as a f2p title with attractive optional packs not those garbage $20 squads or even worse $100 pack.
Bugs and economy need to get fixed asap, we need also more maps especially with Soviets BR4-5 is so miserable with Stalingrad/Berlin 24/7.
They should add crossprogression from WT to the Enlisted (and vice versa), if you have a certain tank/plane you will have it unlocked in the Enlisted it will encourage old vets of WT to try out Enlisted.
If you have same vehicle in both games you should get some bonus premium currency so people could buy premium or a battlepass.
Itâs weird not to see a leaderboard after the event has finished.
How do I know what place I finished?
BTW the numbers dont really seem to add up (= I dont understand them).
19 hours before the event ended, I was still top 6% at place 11.377
(Which is surprising to me, since I consider myself no better than average and I only finished wave 22)
6% of 239.000 = around place 14.000, not 11.377
11.377 is 6% of about 180.000
So in the final 19 hours of the event, (239.000 -/- 180.000=) 60.000 more players came to the event
(maths is not my speciality, I could be wrong)
I really cant believe I outscored about 227.000 people out of 239.000 with my average skills and finishing only wave 22 (501 kills).
