Dude my friend and I were hyped since Custom Matches were announced months ago, we finally get it the other day and now the main point of us playing it is fucking gone. Sure the EXP was cool but I’d trade less EXP for just having full size matches again.
Devs should have fixed the broken AI on some maps instead of downright nuking it.

They saved me from spending money on this pos again, TWICE IN A MONTH, they should get award for that.
Everyone defending grind and this shit keeps on talking that we should just play one campaign, one faction. Even if You limit Yourself to 12,5% of the game, this argument is omega retarded. You can max everything in 3 months of normal play, 1h a day.
Battle pass is a joke, we got the same rewards 3 times already, first time was nice, but why do i need another 50 silver orders if i am to play one campaign.
Xp is useless one one as on max level you can’ progress anymore, with maxed weapons and soldier all there is to do is shoot at bots or low level guys for hours. Wow so fun, it’s worse than singleplayer, congrats.
And if You want to play diffrent campaign, You get to get stomped with shitty equipment for 100 hours, and you get grind flashbacks and turn this game off.
I guess history repeats itselft after all, and things once good turn bad. Updates used to bring new content and fun, now they take it back. This is reaching update shittines level of beat saber
thing is i only played lone fighter mode so i didnt care about custom games but it was fun for a day. just bring back lone fighter mode.

Lmao max in 3 months with an hour a day? I’m betting that was with premium? Lol without it I don’t have the patience for that. The amounts of XP needed per campaign LEVEL is absolutely insane and mind numbingly ridiculous. This type of grind shouldn’t be defended at all so I agree with you there.
Ngl this saved me from spending money as well. I was actually considering buying premium for once after having fun in the custom games. But after this yeeeaaahhh I’m glad I waited and didn’t do it lol. This seems to be a trend of history repeating itself though as you said. Time and time again they take these drastic measures of putting “band-aids” on things while making their game terrible in the process. Such as is with the “progression system” and how you currently obtain soldiers. Time and time again we see them making the same mistakes. Which just serves as a constant reminder to me as to why I stopped spending money here after I bought the CBT access last year. After they started to continue to charge for CBT access to their other campaigns, I knew in the future other shady or less than idea shit would happen.

They need to introduce lone fighters (hardcore) and hardcore squads to regular matchmaking. Otherwise this update has now just removed features from the game instead of adding something. Custom games is worthless if you have to wait for a lobby to fill up, I wouldn’t be playing enlisted if I liked waiting forever for a match to start, there’s plenty of other games where you can do that.
I think those would be pretty cool in a standard matchmaking set tbh. But idk how I feel about further dividing up players amongst these mini versions of these modes. But it certainly is a cool thought. I really like hardcore squads tho. Imo it’s sooooo much more cooler and fun than the standard mode. I’d definitely prefer this as the default over standard tbh. But ofc I’m only one player and that’s just what I like. Which is why custom games were perfect. Keyword, WERE.
It’s not dividing when the alternative is players leaving the game or playing a lot less. I for one am bored with standard squads mode and I know people who only played lone fighters, the devs just ruined the game for me in two quick updates just after ruining it for new players with the update that prevented them from getting enough soldiers.

Totally agree with you here buddy no contest. Overall they’re really shitting the bed with these recent updates. Just pushing players further and further away from their game…

The simple solution would have been to remove kicking, not destroy custom games completely. I just had a quick look, there are no full games there at all. Good job devs.
No, kicking needs to 100% be a thing and at the hosts discretion
If I host a match I don’t want meta shitters ruining it for everyone carpet bombing with their 188 or A-20
I know but it’s better than removing bots since these greedy devs are so worried about people getting too much XP. Have you seen the custom lobbies now? It’s dead.
Implementing a reasonable XP limit would stop exploiting and not necessitate removing host kicks

Sorry, but I’ve been looking around and I haven’t seen anyone bitching about it, or at least I didn’t see it or click on the right forums. Can anyone give me a link to the paid players bitching about it? I bought a premium account a couple weeks back and to me, the 20 bot games were a god send to me because in the game, most of the time, my teamates (real humans) in squads would never push or were just way too OP. This meant that I would usually get steamrolled and not get any experiance or fun out of the game. The new 20 bot custom matches that were pretty much PVE were a godsend because the bots weren’t OP and would actually push to win. Best of all, I had fun playing against bots and working for my victories. Of course Moscow is extremely balanced, but most of the games I play there are exetremely bloody meat grinders which both teams have to fight tooth and nail for each inch of ground, which was fun, but was very mentally exhausting for me, so I didn’t play the game as often, maybe one match every couple of days. This new game mode allowed me to progress 4 levels in normandy in just a couple of hours with 2 boosters. The best part about gaining those levels was that I didn’t have to fight tooth and nail for 40 minutes to get 50k EXP, instead, I could have fun, play a 20 minute match, get 20k EXP, and not feel tired after the match. This reply is extremely long and probably distracts from the main point. But in short, if you know a forum where the paid players were complaining about the bot custom matches, can you put in a link to it?

Hey yeah sorry for not posting links to the comments I was talking about. Yeah I’m sadly not gonna post them bc I don’t wanna go back thru the mess that was the topics of yesterday/last night 
I have enough of a headache about this shit for one day lol. But basically what was happening is that there were players upset at the fact that you could earn XP in these matches. Even if it was just a standard amount of XP people didn’t like this alternate or “easier” way to grind for XP. And these players themselves were typically those who pay for premium and things like the BP or even the premium squads. Now it wasn’t all these types of players as I clarified before. But there were a good chunk of people who were genuinely upset about this before we saw the real exploiting taking place.
If you want you can try and look back at yesterday’s topics about XP gain and the like. It’s just tiring for me at this point to go back and try and find those comments since I’ve been discussing here for hours at this point
