XP deduction suggestion

It would be good only for aircraft.
But we need also features that allows save plane and got reward.

Why only? Because snipers and tank camers will be more effective, because you will lost less XP. I dont want it.

simple: the enemy endlessly rushes into the cap while you have no way of fighting back (cause beginner equipment) and all you can do is sit back and camp

hmm, maybe the idea could be altered so that the longer the TANKER sits in the greyzone, the more xp he will have deducted, this would eventually force tanks to move out of greyzone, and not sit back.

that never prevented me to kill people. you use BA as shotgun and hip fire it, also enter melee range if needed. also on most campaigns you either have assault squad at beginning or you unlock it very early (after few battles), so really no excuse there.

also for your idea to work, you are reworking 10 other game principles. so obviously your idea is bad.

tell me a better idea on how to prevent tankers from greyzoning apart from that and making greyzones the same, you cant.

Larger maps also you do realize that attackers have a 25 minute time limit and limited tickets so they can not fuck around and must take the point ASAP? (also you don’t need to gray zonecamp to never die in a tank)

Now I’m confused.

At first you propose possibly the greatest incentive to grey zone camping, and now you oppose it?

lol… if you just searched topics around forum you would find me complaining about greyzone. and fixes are actually simple, just will never see light of day:

  1. bigger maps
  2. 2nd vehicle slot for f2p players (so they can take attacker plane and nuke campers)
  3. equipment level based MM. most of the greyzone problem is high level tank invulnerable to low level tanks
  4. (temporary solution) revert to last greyzone changes update. there you could actually bomb tanks without dying in few seconds like now.

you also left out terrible map design, maps such as quarry are tank camping heaven, once one of them are camping, its basically gg and youd have to rely on someone having a airplane to take that tank out

what are you on about

Nope, sorry bud, IK its a great idea… if it didnt encourage snipers. There are plenty of snipers who stay back and dont play the objective which unltimatly leads to a defeat, so if you could find a way to help that, i might agree.

You literally started this thread by asking for XP punishment for dying, which if that was the case would discourage players from advancing and promote camping from the safest zone possible, aka grey zone.

(Besides decreeing the death of invasion mode and a probably lethal hemorrhage of players).

for the idea to work, you would need limited defender tickets. cause having ranged firefight without pushing into cap would do absolutely nothing to defenders with current way tickets work. but if you introduce limited tickets for defenders, then it would just turn into sniping match where both teams are too scared to advance cause they are afraid of death penalty.

If you do that though, you lose so much depth of leaning and getting battles and experience from the other side of the map.
I’d hate to have lost that and suddenly been high level. You miss so much content and fun if you cut progression down like that.

I can speak from personal experience that it sucks. My first match in Stalingrad I had a booster as well , I gained 13 levels in one match (posted it here).

It actually sucked because suddenly I have almost a dozen new squads all unlocked, an equal amount of new weapons, and I felt it disconnected me from the game too much.

Should they reduce the grind? Yes, but by other ways I think. Not having one side unlock both. I wouldn’t want to take that enjoyment away from anyone.

Easy.

Increase the map size slightly, reduce the grey zone slightly (each map needs to be handled on a case by case basis because of its design).

Change the organic spawns to Dynamic Spawns so they rotate (this prevents spawn camping of players and tanks) and then Travel Lock the armament of the Tank until he is in the playable area.

Lastly change the spawn location of the tanks so there are multiple, and a bit closer, but protected from being seen immediately so that way the tanks can deploy and move a bit before worrying about being engaged.

Even with grey zones the way we spawn tanks is stupid if you have any experience with the map because you just know where they come from and then its easy to position and engage.

Dynamic changing zones would fix that.

As for mechanical fixes to the game. Zone control over capture the point would spread things out greatly and reduce deaths considerably if suddenly you have to think before laying out that Arty barrage until they are sighted.

you would need bigger maps. for quick fix they could split grey zone in 2 zones. 1 is spawn protection zone where you die in 1-2 seconds (like now) and 2nd is tank engagement zone where you would get extended map (possibly with less clutter) where tanks could actually maneuver and flank without getting killed. also infantry would be able to stay longer in this zone so they could kill tanks.
it would be much easier to implement than designing new maps.

Some maps would need to be extended a bit or reworked slightly. It shouldn’t bee too much work given the primary asset is in place, and given what we’ve seen the modding community do.

Dynamic zones and multiple routes, coupled with zone control would be ideal.

As well, an interesting idea that I am going to borrow with my own spin, is making 5 man recon units that are immune to the grey. Give us the ability to have a squad that can go in and dig them out would be cool.

If the issue is grey zone, why the hell people complain about the train escort mode if grey zone is the issue, cuz the tran escort mode has no grey zone, and people hated it, not me though, cuz I know how to spawn camp every mf playing that map

:^)))))
