WW2 was not divided into tiers, neither should Enlisted

perhaps a mid level mode on its own with its own queue would suffice

I am not against having more modes in the game, I too would be ok in matches where low level tanks battle it out and mid level only

I myself would love to sometimes have that choice to play a different mode with rifles only, or as you say with lower/mid end vehicles

but this stuff has to be tools given to the player to control what match he is willing to go into

not forced onto the entire game where one group has to suffer just so another can have their way

why can’t we just have it so you could queue up whatever you accept into your match, and then only those things would be in your match

this BR system won’t do that either, because of the ± MM deal

and now as others have said, players that will change their loadouts just to have a chance at a lower BR are still going to be forced into higher BR which is even worse, because they gimped themselves on purpose just to avoid something, and they still can’t avoid it, or worse the things they love are in the same BR with things they hate

So personally I am ok with extra modes coming into the game that provide limited experience but are optional extras

just not at the expense of the core experience

more customization given to the player to choose what will be in their match, no problem

but this BR doesn’t achieve any of that

it doesn’t let players choose their maps, doesn’t let players choose their modes and doesn’t even really limit BR either, since you will still be pulled into higher BR, so it doesn’t even do that right either

If I wanted to play rifles only, then I would want a rifle only mode

if I wanted a match with no flametroopers then should have a tick box that none will queue up into the match I am going into, same for whatever you hate, such as tigers or Assault rifles or Gas Grenades, planes etc…

Let the player have full control over what they queue up for, that would be the ideal solution

just kill this game or make it PVE. ffs do you know how many modes would you need to keep everyone happy? and do you know how many players do you need to keep every mode alive? this is simply unsustainable.

this is not a problem. you dont need strict tiers to make game enjoyable and there is not much difference between few tiers. you can usually kill tanks a +3 tank, but you wont be able to kill a +7 tank. SA are not overwhelmingly powerful like AR vs BA rifles, so it is not problem if there is occasional mid level player in queue.

you dont seem to understand that making hard rules for MM is creating new queues that need to be filled. so there are 128 maps and you could include/exclude weapons in 100 ways. you would basically giving players control to do over 10000 queues. from current 6. yes if you want to play single player game it is possible. not if you want to play full human vs human game

you know that one of the reasons people quit is not cause matches are balanced, but cause their team is full of bots?

i would be ok with premade teams that respects historical accuracy. so that you can have 8-9 players with BA, one MG with assistant gunner that has pistol equipped and squad leader with smg/AR. not with teams that have 4 stg44/fedorov and rest of the team with fg42/avs40. if game is making non historical squads, then at least we can have game balance.

Personally I did not work so hard to unlock some awesome gear to now only be able to use it in limited tiered match making, I just did not play this game for that

Whilst that might be a reason, I see most matches populate fully before the match and I still see a huge number of quitters, always at least 4 + quitters

but if the match populated fully at the start, and those are all players, then they couldn’t have quit because of bots, they likely quit for other reasons

and that is the most common occurrence that I witness in matches

Well h&g is dead now, but that game let you select maps & modes when it was still alive, until they ruined their game

There used to be games like bfbc2 that allowed you to queue for hardcore mode and also choose maps or modes

The really old BF games also allowed map selection from list

Post Scriptum also let you choose what map/server you would join

All these new games that force the player to play whatever map and mode are really the cause of their own quitter problem, because if people get a map or mode they don’t want, of course they quit out

this BR system only going to create more reasons to quit matches and quit the game

if you wanted HA BR ain’t it either, and it will be worse immersion than ever

this is easy to implement when you have 1 server and you just need to do map change. it is impossible to do when you have MM that is creating instances every minute and half.
persistent server needs to change map every ~30 minutes, while MM needs to create 10000 such servers every minute and half. you see the difference and why it is impossible to implement such thing in MM?

it’s because the players don’t want to play against other players, so they leave player full matches, and then create new matches with more bots because they quit the matches full of players, the new system will only make this problem more severe

which tells me that clearly the majority don’t care about filling the match with players, since they quit those matches sometimes over 10 quits by players in a single match

if this lie that players want players was true, then players wouldn’t quit such matches in such high numbers, they would stay

Yes, a game with a large HA will be very unbalanced, and it will be especially visible in the Berlin campaign, where the Germans discovered that quantity is also quality.

Well. Unlike Soviets, not everyone has the luck to get WW1 weapons with super stats.

Except the Germans still had tanks in Berlin and used them but whatever.
VS gear was produced in extremely limited nunbers and mostly still used German standard gear but whatever.

Big words for someone who wants people to play against T-34s with Short-Barrel Panzer IVs and Js.

And that’s the problem with tank games. Hits without penetration damaged tanks. The movie is also an example of the movie furia because swordsmen with short barrels shot at the tiger from a long distance, which caused damage to the electrics, wounding the crew, cracking the armor.

So that the pzIV with a short barrel could fight the T34s. Hits with high-explosive shells caused damage to the tank’s electrics and hydraulics, stunned the crew, tore off pieces of armor.

Not really. There are photos of wrecked German tanks and IFVs in the middle of streets which dont look liek they were used as fortification.

But they were stationary points of resistance due to fuel shortages. A lot of tanks and transporters (transpoters because IFVs were created only after the war) were dragged to a given place and stayed there.
