Now, before everyone FREAKS OUT. It is well known that Russian Women served as pilots and snipers. They also served occasionally as tankers. I don’t want tons of women running around as A) it becomes silly as people abuse the option, and B) it would legitimately wreck immersion. So I propose a couple of women character models for Snipers and Pilots. That way they exist, but don’t overwhelm the game. Also Historically accurate.

I just think it would be cool. I don’t want it overdone. I want it to be historical. But I want to kick the shit out of some dude with a legit badass woman. IDK why. Just feels legit.

just lets keep it sensible, maybe a premium character but not in the random soldier list used for normal troops. also lets not add black nazis, its a slippery slope from adding a 0.001% occurrence of female soldiers to well… bf5s bs

I was just thinking of this idea as well! They actually commented in a Q&A over the summer that they will be implementing female soldiers in some context . My guess? Stalingrad, prob within a sniper premium squad or something

I think a premium squad of snipers or a golden ticket sniper seems to be the best middle ground.

It’s from BF1 so it’s “from” WW1. And during it, germany had a quite succesfull african division (I forgot the name).
I understand the intention though.

not a fan of any women in this game. I would feel bad, aiming at a woman. Just cringe, major cringe. And why anyway? 99.9999% of WW2 was us guys, smacking each other. God bless our ladies, and everything that was done, nobody is downplaying anything, my goodness, not downplaying tiniest bit. But I’d feel bad. So my personal vote is against. They were never on the actual front lines, historically.
Yes I know, I couldn’t find the picture of the ww2 game. But you can have teams of women only (it happens from videos I saw) and even have fully black skinned gentlemen wearing nazis uniforms! All in the sake of inclusivity I suppose.
There’s Irony in wanting inclusivity and diversity in one of the LEAST inclusive political party of modern history

Snipers are not the front lines, somewhat behind. And there were only few women snipers. And that’s as close it ever got to the front. Strongly against. But that’s just my personal vote.
Behind enemy lines even in places like… Stalingrad, Leningrad, Kyiv? Urban combat is often very hard to discern where the frontlines truly even are. Also, it would be very hard to convince a sniper today that they don’t have a “front line job”. In fact, sniping as a tactic was even more balls to the wall in WW2 than it is today. Aside from that, We are still talking tens of thousands of female soldiers who served the USSR during WW2. Who are we as 21st century gamers to say that those warriors don’t also deserve recognition? Especially since the game is fielding some weapons that were hardly used in the war, if at all.
I mean, there were black soldiers fighting in the German Army though. Mainly through the Free Arabian Legion.

However it should be based on campaigns where they appeared, not just everywhere like CoD or Battlefield does it
