It was more than that. Sure, it wasn’t a lot, but Russia is rightfully famous for it. We’re not talking a dozen women blown out of proportion. Again, as somebody who fought with women in Iraq and Afghanistan, I think it is a good idea to give them an APPROPRIATE representation. Why I think it should only be a sniper and/or pilot or two.

mostly logistical roles. women were not found on the front lines fighting with the men. they would obviously meet horrific fates at the hands of the advancing wehrmacht and the red army knew this.

Mostly. But not all. Several Air Regiments, Many Snipers, Many Tankers, and some even commanded infantry units.

And none of those would have fought frontline, with perhaps the exception of a few tankers, though I doubt it. I’d be interested if there’s evidence to the contrary though.

Let me just go ahead and discredit the “it wasn’t allowed so therefore it didn’t happen” argument.
Shannon Kent was a warrior serving in elite US special operations long before “gender roles” were repealed in the US army. She died in combat in Syria. Her husband (also special forces) is a great guy too.
Can tell you there’s a few women in Delta Force too.

I wasn’t implying you were an InCel. But there is a huge amount of naysaying by a lot of ignorant people in here because it doesn’t fit their narrative. I loathe that. I knew the guy who ran the study for integrating women in combat in the USMC. And the TL;DR version is the top 10% ish of women are stronger than the bottom 30% ish of men. So… the top ten percent of women could serve in the vast majority of combat roles. Additionally, a lot of the “combat” roles that are less physical (Motor Transport, Certain type of heavy equipment operators) as well as certain combat roles like Artillery and Tanks are open to an even higher percentage of women.

I THINK that a Premium Sniper Squad of women, A Premium T-34 “Fighting Girlfriend”, and a gold ticket sniper, and a gold ticket pilot, would all be fine. For the Gold Ticket soldiers there are plenty Hero of the Soviet Union soldiers to pick from: List of female Heroes of the Soviet Union - Wikipedia
There was that anti-aircraft gun battalion that scrapped with German tanks. They were all females. Could add a female engineer unit.
